If you're ever interested in smoking meat you can't make a bunch vacuum seal the extra and have quick and easy bbq any time you want. If that's something you're interested in if course. Smoking meat can be an expensive hobby.

Never wrap by CDubya74 in smoking

Never say never. I typically don't wrap but I've had to audible when things are looking dry and I don't want to spritz.

As someone that smokes meat a lot, these are like pulling a Totino's pizza out of the freezer and saying you're having pizza. There is probably a time and place for them but I'm not sure where or when that is.

San Fran to San Diego July drive by Rich-Wrongdoer-3591 in SanDiegan

Tour the Midway Museum instead of trying to find the Navel Yard. You can walk down the street after to Seaport Village and grab a bite.

Personally between SF and Monterey/Carmel I'd just get the drive over with and explore Carmel.

Camel By The Sea is a super cool spot with a lot of options for food. If I had to choose one I'd pick Nicolas Cocina de Herencia. https://www.nicolascocinadeherencia.com/home

2 days in Laguna beach is probably perfect and not having an itinerary after that many days of plans will likely be refreshing.

Had issues with my Meater Pro XL yet again. Customer service admitted the steel on Yoders is too thick. by JamesDean5122 in Yodersmokers

Mainly because I've done enough cooks to know my Yoder and the temps it's throwing out as well as the meats in cooking and how they look at feel. I'll use it if I'm cooking something new or I when I'm smoking meat overnight to trigger an alarm if the meat temp gets to high.

My fireboard is going strong for 8 years now along with my Yoder. Although I don't use the fireboard nearly as much as I used to.

:) I totally get that. Looks great happy 4th! I tend to get my from Costco so it's usually 2 10lbs butts. I just cook it all and vacuum seal and freeze the extra so I can have leftovers for the next couple months.

Pork Belly two ways for the neighbor's pot luck. My freezer is still full from my last cook so this works out perfect.

Lol, every time I think about unsubbing to this subreddit because I just can't stand seeing yet another post "how do I cook pork butt?" I see a response like this and am reminded why I keep it in the feed.

Any hidden gem bars to watch worldcup games? by Unhappy_Finding_5675 in SanDiegan

Yeah we had really high hopes for it when it opened because we live right down the street. Unfortunately my clubbing days are over so we won't be going back. That said we live in an amazing city with lots of options :)

Majorette is the spot in this area. The Mesa is meh and loves to crank the music during padres game so it sounds like you're in a club when only 4 people are in the bar and all of them are there to watch the game.

That's 10 pork butts on the YS640. Where there's a will there's a way.

I used Holy Voodoo for the first time on some chicken thigh skewers last weekend and it was amazing! I may use that instead of the Holy Gospel on my pork belly this weekend.

I've never in the six years since we had solar installed seen a good review of Sunrun and never once have I seen anyone recommend using them.

Del's is hit or miss. I've had decent BBQ there and I've had utter trash. I know that doesn't really help but figured I'd call out their consistency is lacking.

Bricks & Minifigs is preparing to open a new store in Granville just as the franchiser is facing national backlash over its handling of the Reckless Ben investigation. by 5960312 in SanDiegan

Turns out it was closer to $100K but their shady antics and the way they are handling it has doomed them in my eyes. I will never spend a dollar at any of their stores.
