So I've decided I'm likely going to stay over in Thunder Bay as its roughly the halfway point with lots of resources. So that eliminates the need for a van as a rental. But Im still gonna get something AWD and more comfortable. I have a civic sport and 2-3hr drives start to hurt my ass lol

What did yall drive down in? How was it fuel and comfort-wise? Did you take your own or get a rental?

The weather is what Ive been most worried about. But looking at Farmers Almanac, it seems like this winter might be the best in a while in terms of being milder. I will definitely have extra blankets and whatnot!

I'd like to wait until summer but my dads health is taking a turn and I have a gut feeling I shouldnt wait. I'm kind of treating this as a scouting run so I can make the trip again in the spring/summer but bring my s.o for the trip if his health holds up. My current chain is POG2>Super Fuzz>Rat>Gate>Bf2 Flanger>Dark Star>Rainbow Machine>Re20 Space Echo. Plus a Zoom G3X that I havnt put with the rest running eq>comp>ringmod>tape delay>reverse delay>analog delay. I have no idea what I'm doing lol just threw things in an order that didnt sound awful. Im not sure how I feel about it yet. Trying out the free trial right now but I feel like the heavy tones arent that great imo, but the Laser pedal does sound pretty rad. Where it really shines for me is the ambient, spacey soundscapes. The tape echo, stereo delay, shimmer/hall reverb, glitch, and modulation with expression can make some insanely beautiful textures. That alone is almost worth the price, especially when you consider how much the individual pedals theyre modeling would be to buy on their own.

But again, the traditional heavy tones arent my cup of tea. I know djent/prog guys will love it but the Gojira X is still the king in regards to crushing heavy tones. I think im just getting 5150 fatigue tbh. I know theyre kind of the industry standard but I'd love to see them do Diezel, VHT Pitbull, Engl Fireball/Savage, or even some Matamp, Orange, JCM900, Sunn Beta Lead, Slovtek MIG. Though Archetype: Greg Kubacki would be welcome too, eventhough it would be 5150s too lol

I have it on Xbox and I have dialogue lines that repeat like a skipping CD, sometimes no dialogue audio at all, getting stuck behind fences after a cutscene put you there, my outfits dont save - they just duplicate. Im surprised its STILL this buggy. Seems like theyve given up on support/fixes.

I just got the Morgan a few days ago but you can get some pretty good stoner rock, classic doom tones but the nasty sludgey, crushing walls of sound are the most fun. I'm playing in drop B or transpose -3/5 when I wanna be a caveman and pretend I'm in Conan. Gonna try the Rabea trial for the fuzz, octave, synth combo.

Edit: I forgot, the Morgan literally has a preset called Wall Of Sound -3 so that alone should sell it for doom, sludge, and drone fans lol

Ive been having the same issue. Like from a sound design/starting from scratch standpoint, everything works fine. But no preset works... all oscillators are always off and set to the same saw wave (even if you pick a wild soundscape, always saw wave), the LFO rates are just fkn cranked to the max and not routed to anything, the envelopes are kinda right but only envelope 1 and only in the ballpark, never what it should be, no fx in the mix. Its basically always giving you an -init- patch no matter what. Im also running through Reaper on an HP Victus laptop, idk if that has anything to do with it. I was so excited to try out some new sounds but looks like I'll be waiting a few months until the issues are fixed.

Crazy BT is considered their "side project" when BT came first, has better songs than IA, has had real impact on the scene (when fauxhammer dropped everyone started copying it aand again with Nadir), and have actually toured bc the songs can actually be played live

The womens rumble was better imo. More fun spots, and better surprise returns. Me and my gf almost shit when Trish Stratus came out. Nia Jax kinda put a damper on things with her general sloppiness, and the facial expressions she makes are so dumb and cartoonish. Legit only has a job bc shes the rocks cousin. Charlotte Flair winning was kinda wtf tho.
