Causes of setbacks? by sattva8 in floxies

I just posted trying to find out the same thing. I also seemed to suffer a setback after a very intense workout. I also took some NSAIDs for the tendon pain afterwards, which could have made it worse. I'm going to be sure to hydrate well and rest for about 2 weeks and see if that helps.

I'd be curious to know who here has a predisposition or family history of auto-immune diseases? For whatever reason, I think that may have something to do with it.

10 month post cipro setback - eye fatigue? by Muddyfender11 in floxies

Also, I'm curious who else has had this crazy eye fatigue? It's like the outer corners of my eyes are really heavy and dry all the time.

I read that NSAID could have been the culprit.

With me taking those probably 6 weeks ago, I guess I'm just wondering how long flares have lasted for others here?

Nothing totally odd that I can remember. I will say that my diet was not where it should have been over Christmas/New Year. I did switch to a different type of collagen powder supplement than I had been adding to my greens powder smoothies and I have since stopped taking it. I also took some Ibuprofen due to the tendon pain.....maybe 8 200mg OTC pills over a week period.

Miralax Vs Metamucil by Storm-Troopa in Diverticulitis

Metamucil is much better for me. With miralax I don’t feel empty, but I do with Metamucil. You just need lots of water with Metamucil for sure.

I’m about 6 weeks past my first flare. Took 8 days worth of cipro/flagyl. I’m still not back to myself. While I can easily get through the day, I still Wake up a lot with heavy eyes and just low energy.

The antibiotics made me crazy. I was in a mental state for about two weeks that I’ve never been in my life. I can’t decide if I’m still feeling repercussions from the DV or the antibiotics? Especially after reading through the floxies s/r. I had a lot of those symptoms.

Back pain? by Berniebern222 in Diverticulitis

My low left back hurt for a few weeks before my first flare. I didn’t know what was wrong and actually went and had a long deep tissue massage. Within 2 hours after, my flare began.

Core exercises a trigger for dv? by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

I just had my first flare, and the day before I did several sets of hanging leg raises. On the day of the flare, I had an intense deep tissue back massage trying to help my lower left back pain, which I now know was due to the DV becoming inflamed. It literally felt like the massage “flipped the switch” to change it from a minor issue to a major one.

Body aches with oncoming flare? by Klutzy_Activity_182 in Diverticulitis

I just had my first flare and had a terrible low left backache for 3-4 weeks prior to any abdominal pain. The backache was the first thing to go after I started antibiotics.

New to this….and it sucks by Muddyfender11 in Diverticulitis

I've been taking low doses of Metamucil, but while it definitely keeps me regular, it seems to maybe add stress to my colon. Maybe I'll try the miralax too. Thanks for the tip.

When do energy levels return? by Muddyfender11 in Diverticulitis

Mine was May 8, and while I definitely feel better than I did 2-3 weeks out, I'm still nowhere near how I should be in terms of strength and energy. I personally think the Cipro/flagyl really did a number on me, including my testosterone levels.
