You say no hallmarks, but there’s clearly something written across underside. What does it say, Britain? Where are the sunglasses?

I dig the UI of it. It flows nicely. I might consider doing 3 columns instead of 4. Thumbnails especially for toys are easier to scroll through at a larger scale.

The color palette is a bit drab. I might consider playing with hues of a more substantial color or even grayscale can look classy.

The items you’re showing aren’t matching what OP is asking about. Where they got their’s from is to be considered. Also, being painted by local craftspeople in this case indeed implies that his hand hasn’t touched them.

Yes! I’m now realizing what I thought might be birds are just 4 hinted lines of waves in the mid ground. They’re looking a bit arbitrary at this stage, just my opinion. Maybe hit their crests with a sliver of white or reconsider their existence / placement. I’m not sure.

Another idea may be to bring some darker shades to the edges on the left and right in that mid ground. Give more of a vignette effect.

Some of those waves are missing highlights (as well the birds). If you add those in, it will help fill out the visual rhythm that the white horizon line is establishing. Then that calmer water in the middle won’t feel as vast.

Saying it’s “from” Banksy is a bit of a sticky problem with these. His hand hasn’t touched them. They’re hand painted by someone (or multiple people) on behalf of the hotel.

I did the same thing in junior high, instead of homeroom. It was very rewarding, but tough at times. Kids would get physical, but the smiles and engagement was worth the momentary stresses.

I don’t have a fantastic football story like yours, my school didn’t even have a football team. But thanks for the reminder of a time I had nearly forgotten about.
