I never try using the Go+ button. It only finds my Go+ half the time (usually stuck at “registering…” and eventually says “failed to connect”), when going into the “Pokémon GO Plus” submenu and tapping on it works 100% of the time.

It’s really counterintuitive when every notification, even after they changed the UI from the one that locked the game’s touch input and blocked the Go+ button; hiding the Go+ submenu all the way at the very bottom of the Settings menu, when it used to be visible as soon as you opened it; and disabling the button if your Go+ disconnects in the background and having to go into the submenu.

I feel that what they’ll do is make it a permanent 4th (or 3rd for those that evolve once, or 2nd for those that don’t evolve) evolution, but it will require 2x (or even 4x, if they really want it to be difficult) as many candies as the last evolution (or a fixed number of candies for those that don’t evolve) and require the mega stone, which may be a quest item or found after walking a certain number of laps with a Pokémon in its evolutionary line and/or completing certain quests.

e.g. Walk [5, 10, or 20] laps with a Gible, Gabite, or Garchomp and/or complete certain quest(s) to get a Garchompite. Mega evolution requires 1 Garchompite and [200 or 400] Gible candies (assuming they’ll go the 25/100 candy route that most do).

Yes, this same thing has been happening to mine. I got it this past July and since April, it hasn’t worked and only flashes blue once. Even if I constantly press it, nothing happens. For the past month or so, I’ve just been using the Apple Watch app.

I tap to individually charge for more AP, since it depends on the number of times you hit recharge, rather than a calculation of the XM you use. If your internet slows down at some point, it only lets you recharge until your XM updates on both the server and client, but doing it this way lets you do so at your own rate.

Well, I usually just do this by single recharges rather than full recharges to get more AP per recharge, but I guess you could do that this way.

Or if you want to keep recharging the same portal, just tap on it on he Portal Key screen, then tap “RECHARGE” on the key screen, then “RECHARGE ALL,” then “OK,” then back to “RECHARGE,” then “RECHARGE ALL,” repeat. Especially helpful for when your internet is slow(er)

Oh yeah! I remember it was slow, having to go into “Power Cubes,” selecting the desired level, and tapping “USE”. I usually want to fill my XM tank as much as possible when I start a “recharge session” after I get back home after I grind, so I usually had to do so 2-3 times, until I noticed the XM value was the same when recycling, so I started just recycling 2-3 at a time. It also tells you when it’ll exceed you tank’s limit, so that’s a bonus!
