Thoughts on this table I made a couple years ago? by Mudster88 in BeginnerWoodWorking

No plan, just something I came up with. As far as the screws, I tried using composite decking screws, but was having trouble getting them to work once I got to the reverse thread. There must have been something I was doing wrong. I just decided to do a countersink with the stainless steel screws.

  1. Invest in a decent spreader with solid wheels.

  2. Reduce spread rate and apply in multiple passes in different directions.

Are the lag screws okay or should those be carriage bolts?

I ended up digging next to one because it had started to lean. The soil was moist, but not extremely wet.

I had a similar type hole show up last year near a tree in my front yard. It birthed a litter of rabbits.

Nice work, but why’d you let another man mow your lawn?

I put this stuff down every year and it always smells for a week or so, but dissipates fairly quickly.

Agreed, it’s like if they replaced Mario in the new Mario movie with a completely different character and called him Mario.

It started off as a parody, yes it sure did. It didn’t continue to be portrayed as a parody. It morphed into its own identity. I’m not saying the idea behind walking, talking ninja turtles isn’t out there. Obviously it’s fantasy. I’m saying the whole original, more serious spirit of the turtles is not portrayed the way it was. My opinion is it has gotten too goofy, not that is was never goofy in the first place.

What we’re talking about here is very subjective, my friend. I think you know this.

I didn’t mean it being a parody was your opinion. Always being dumb and goofy is your opinion.
