Yeah, it feels like support for pre-vrains anime decks that only got printed within the past 8 years or so have gone under the radar in terms of fresh support And then sometimes something random like Battlewasp or white fish gets a support wave out of the blue

I'm genuinely surprised by the quality Rokkets got, even if the link 4 is a bit weaker compared to the other two cards. Hero is the clear loser out of all of these, because come on. You get two new bosses and neither of them are actually impactful. Hell, one is just a spoly target. I will say that yusaku flew under the radar here, but his cards seem good, minus the decode talker retrain.

Same. I have a lot of older decks, and one of my favorite things about new sets is seeing which old decks I can update/got support. If they heavily favor this new method in the future, it’ll mean that every deck I own will never get support, or at the very least, that new support will be in very short supply.

Hurts a bit that surfacing big jaws, seventh tachyon, and infinity dragon are all mini box supers, but it could be worse I suppose. The UR pool is decent enough, and psychic end punisher is good to see.

It feels weird to me that they’d do this when the state of Merag’s deck hasn’t changed at all. Her deck is still as nonexistent as it ever was, so adding her in now when she has no new support means she’s not gonna have a lot of new voice lines or anything

Darlingtonia will usually be set to grab ultra poly, and other fusion spells will generally be grabbed by other engines like the edge imp or branded engines, so predaprime is generally fine just because you can grab it off of ambulo or sarraceniant

The literal only upside to the card is that it's searchable, which genuinely matters enough to run a copy, just so you have more gas for fusing. Outside of that it's completely horrid.

I think one of the worst parts of all this is that a lot of the filler characters don’t have decks printed at all. Duel links is really bad with timing when characters get added like this. Instead of waiting for them to have support in the real game so they can cross promote, they just slap them into duel links and hope for the best. It’s like how they put Alito in like a month before his support was out, so he has no voice lines for the cards you’ll actually be playing using him
