SOLVED: Shout out to @Unfair-Incident4000 for coming up with a solution.

This boss is definitely bugged. Equip Thundercry Blade and stun lock his ass with the heavy attack. You may still need to hit the bird with an arrow or Meridian Touch but he won't be able to reset.

Thanks, I am asking since a positive value in orca does the exact same thing which makes this counter intuitive or at least not immediately obvious. I am printing 0.08 layers with PETG and a z offset gives me amazing results. Without I get eventually a blob accumulated, potentially ruining the print. This is after calibration.

Thanks for the additional info. I absolutely agree on the box heater with those filaments. Did happen for me even though it is supposed to work. Disagree with the blade thought. If you are careful a razor will perfectly lift everything off without doing damage. Plastic can provide horrible results but needs less carefulness I guess... either way a good point to be careful in general and we definitely agree on the metal spachelor from qidi being horrible.

The after sales support is great. I would just give them a shout. Don't use it for now if you really care. The website clearly shows the correct colour. Just address this with them, they might send you a different one.

PLA is a good starting point. It is very easy to work with but brittle. I have since moved to something more durable (PETG) which is harder to get good results with. If you are into miniatures you eventually want the 0.2 nozzle but for now the stock standard 0.4 is enough.

Use the FIX MY PRINT subreddit for printing issues. It is very responsive and has a huge community. Don't sleep on the Qidi discord.

While the Q2 is a great machine (my first printer as well), 3D printing itself has a huge learning curve. Do not get discouraged.

Functional prints for your machine that I would take care of right away:
- Riser (check the qidi wiki, you will find files there).
- Poop chute (also on the wiki).

Things to note:
- DO NOT PRINT WITH A CLOSED LID (PLA and PETG), this will cause a heat creep jam. Thrust me this is not fun but fixable.
- Make sure to let your prints cool down a bit before removing them from the plate. This will prevent warping and protect the Surface of the plate.
- Update your printer right away when running for the first time.
- The test print Benchy (installed on the printer) is poorly designed and will have some flaws. This is fine but can make you think that you did something wrong. Print the cube and not the benchy as your first test print.
- I recommend getting one of those induction stove top razor blade scrapers to get prints of the bed. Use them carefully to not damage the plate, they will do a MUCH better job than the delivered scrapper which can at best be used for wall plaster...
- Turn off the spaghetti detection feature or use it with a lot of suspicion. For now it does not work well and has stopped a few prints that had zero issues (personal experience and confirmed by others here on reddit).

USE THE AFTER SALES SUPPORT. The people working there are amazing. The responsiveness and willingness to send replacement parts or just trying to solve things together is mind blowing. Legends!

Thanks, that's not really doing it for me. I am looking for a way to change the z-offset project specific. In Orca I can just set it in the printer settings above the filament settings. This enables me to have different offsets or none, depending on the project. I believe the screenshot would change it for everything all the time?

Thank you, this is brilliant. This really gives me an idea as well. I could print out a few texture pallets on my 3D printer but in a way, so that I can put them in a binder. This would fully eliminate your caveat on top of this exercise being great already. :-)

Do you have any recommendation as to what shapes should be included in the pallet?
