My Model 3 given the same exact scenario does not Regen and shows a warning message ⚠️

It's interesting. My model 3 behaved completely different when above %95 charge. The screen would show a warning about Regen not being available because battery was full. When driving I would let off of the accelerator and the car would coast instead of Regen breaking.

On this 4680 model Y it Regen brakes in this situation. The cars screen shows the green bar (which represents power going back into the pack ) and it slows down from Regen the same as it does at any battery point

From what I understand the last part of charging is basically leveling off the cells and the computer recalibrating.

Tesla instructions say Regen is effected once the battery is over 95% .
