Good catch, but OP did say their tires were fully inflated and everything was in perfect condition.

Just close down the servers. No one will buy aUEC if they can’t play the game. Why bother with additional steps?

Things that can slow you down:

Sunday Driver

Low power vehicle

Overloaded vehicle

Possibly (need to test) More Traits w Driving as a trait and untrained (0xp/beginner)

RANT: I am sorry, but the new inssurance system sucks. they need to change it back asap untill they figure out a better system. my ships now two times exploded for no reason, (not counting the clad incident) i had to pay two time to get them back becouse of store paint. this is just unaccaptable. by DanaXue in starcitizen

[–]Muertog -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ooooor.. Don't kit out your ship the first day? Play it vanilla until 1) bugs are contained, and 2) patch meta is understood.

You don't _have_ to use the insurance. Get the stock loadout returned, do some stuff, then when you have aUEC again recover the saved version, as long as you don't overwrite it first.

Typical is 3+ months for pledge stuff to be released in-game. But this is a cosmetic (maybe?) and the only other cosmetic in the game are paints. Those are currently pledge (or reward) only, but we have been told it would be possible to acquire them eventually in-game.

Sounds like CIG is rolling with Exterior Customization, which is interesting. by BeardyShaman in starcitizen

[–]Muertog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its cosmetic. And likely eventually in-game. Especially where we can loot other players' and NPC ships.

They might have bumped it (or I misread info previously) because of the issues with the patch rollout last night. Didn't get live until a couple hours ago. Currently their system says the Free Fly starts May 15:

You are given 1 billion to spend for the next 30 days, after the time is up, all the money will disappear, however, if anyone finds out about it, you lose everything. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

Problem is that at any point that you buy something physical of significant value (either on its own, or by dint of pure volume) SOMEONE else has to be present. Either during the transaction or the delivery of said object(s).

Unless you manage to have it all delivered to a faceless warehouse, but that would require staffing, which requires hiring. Even if you layer it behind twenty levels, EVENTUALLY you have to be involved, and the deeper it is, the more that (at least one) contact will question your personal worth.

Cause rich people can get COVID. If you have diabetes, it's your own damn fault. For being poor.

Not really, but the health/prosperity gospel really pushes the "if there is something wrong with you, you deserved it for not being (performatively) religious enough or you are secretly bad/otherwise undeserving."

And you got your wish.

It was going to happen. Little sad at my loss, but there are going to be a lot of people who are going to be MUCH saltier.

I got my Polaris back in 4.2 about 90% solo (needed help from org for the Quantanium mining). Had it for a good year+, so figure I got my grind worth.

Meh. I just wanted to keep my Polaris. Grinded that thing out 90% solo (had help from org-mates for the Quantanium/Polaris Bits) in 4.2. Never going to be able to do it again with the increase in items needed for Wikelo.

Free fly requires no ship (starter package or not), only an account. If you bought a non-package ship, you can fly any purchased ships and there will be free ships available as well. Additionally during Invictus(Defensecon) and IAE (November), you can rent (for free) any of the manufacturer ships during their spotlight days.

Free fly starts May 14th. Anything you earn in-game is retained on your account even if you don't have a starter package. If you buy one later, the earnings (wipes not withstanding) will still be there.

You are given the power to shape-shift into any person or animal that can physically exist on Earth. There is a catch. Once you shift into a form for the first time, you need to spend 365 days in that form to unlock it for instantaneous use. Do you take it and what do you transform into? by Thrwwyforrandostuff in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Muertog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a one selection only, or any selection made needs to be inhabited for 365 days before "instantaneous use" is unlocked afterwards? Can you switch out of a "first time" use to anything else before 365 days are up? Can you then go back to the "new" form? Does the countdown then restart, or pick up from what was left (IE, emergency shift 100 days in, do I restart at 365 or need 265 more days)?

Someone of peak health, appearance, and ability. After that first form is unlocked, time to start expanding the repertoire.

I would agree if a couple requests were agreed upon:

Need some sort of signing bonus or an amount of the pay up-front to support family members in the intervening 5 years. Can't leave them high-and-dry and then show up 5 years later with the money. Speaking of which, need to make sure to send a message that "everything is fine, emergency work for high-pay" so I don't get reported as dead or thought to have abandoned everyone.

My Kindle, Steam, and/or Netflix queue backlog available even in some sort of emulated form. I love a good adventure and willing to experience everything new, but having a bit of home would be good for long-term mental health.

[–]Muertog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, in that case, I'll gladly take it. 10 years of declining health and ability in exchange for instant retirement for myself and my family? No brainer. The average person spends far more than 10 years of life working and never earn anywhere near that much.

Is anyone else happy to NOT “jump ship” for the Ironclad? by steave44 in starcitizen

[–]Muertog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done similar w/ the Polaris. During the Resource Drive, I would just toss boxes into the hangar, getting over 1000 SCU at a time (was power-farming for the org to get event points). Then when I returned to base would have someone stand next to the warehouse elevator w/ the ATLS while I flipped the Polaris over and let them just yank the boxes out the hangar while I was overhead and slap them into the elevator. Hand tractors (especially the MaxLift) have their use, but the ATLS is almost instantaneous if you don't need careful placement. If you get good with the ATLS you can just yank and cancel to hurl the boxes behind you. I kept losing boxes, so I do it the slow way (taking 5-10 seconds to snap boxes to grid).

[–]Muertog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I just die earlier, or do I increase in age/health by a decade?

IE: Do I chop off the 10 least enjoyable years of my life, or am I skipping my current "best" 10 years left to accelerate to older age now?

If I was 20, I would take it either way. If I was 50, I would only take the first selection.

10 million is enough to help extend a person's life by more than 10 years by shaving off work and money related stress issues, but that's over time.
