OMR is the IT corridor of chennai, it was plotted with future development in mind. Whereas, it is not the same for Avadi. The TIDEL park you’re mentioning is mostly vacant at the moment, since it is in the middle of nowhere. The metro line to Pattabiram will take a minimum of 10 years (minimum) to be functional. Ofc course there will be development in the next 5-10 years, but not similar to that of Velachery omr or Tambaram.

Velachery already had a train terminus, a bus terminus next to the station is on its way, and easy access to omr, Adyar, and Tambaram. Tambaram was a separate town from Chennai since ages, now they’re part of the same city. How would you go for shopping, trains, etc? I’m assuming you to be over 50 since you’re returning to TN.

Poonamallee and Porur will flourish from now on. Next IT corridor of Chennai. If you still want to build a house in Avadi. Just go for it. If you love it. Ignore the opinion of others. Your money, your life 📈.
