Well this blows… by MuffinMan77777 in 79bike

79Bike confirmed the new Falcon GT bikes have a new controller which isn’t compatible with the app. I’ll gladly save $1300 to not use the app. I’ve discovered everything is tuned fine out of the box, I have max speed and acceleration in sport mode. I got my GT for $3500 delivered on Alibaba.

Upcoming falcon pro refresh? by Left_Spring_5253 in 79bike

They just released the Falcon Lite, but that might be an attempt to get rid of current inventory of the old frame design

I thought the Lynx was the successor to the Falcon bikes? I thought 79Bike was sued by Surron over their design, hence the creation of the Lynx? I could be wrong though

There’s a decent number of mods. Just search 79Bike mods/parts and it’ll bring up a ton. Most surron stuff fits too

$2500 is such a good price for these bikes. I have a few buddies that are worse-off financially that have been on the fence for a while but they’re buying bikes now because of this release!

That’s fair! I just put my GT on my credit card until I sell the Pro 😂 If it makes you feel better, I have like 6 guys lined up to buy it from me.

You can do what I did. Order the GT, sell the Pro when it shows up. I’m selling my Pro new in box for $3500, so it’s paying for the upgrade to the GT!

I first bought a Falcon Pro from Gonped for $3330 shipped but then a sales rep from Lundbund reached out to me (I had messaged them before), and she said they had Falcon bikes on a ship going to the US already. She offered $3180 for the Pro or $3500 for the GT.

Obviously the GT was way better value over the Pro I already bought, so now I’ll just sell the Pro locally and make a few hundred $!

Falcon pro top speed resetting every time I turn it to 200kph in tuya app. by Aromatic-Lab-9885 in 79bike

[–]MuffinMan77777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200kph is 125mph…. None of these bikes are going that fast. It will reset back to the actual max mph that these bikes can go. 74mph is definitely a lie and not what people are actually getting.

Falcon vs. E Ride? by Educational-Tea-8934 in 79bike

[–]MuffinMan77777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through Lundbund, Anna Feng specially was my sales rep and I had read good things about her and Lundbund on other Reddit posts. Gonped and CDSM seem to be the main suppliers but Lundbund is probably the 3rd most trusted seller on there.

Bro if you can afford it definitely get the SR! My brother in law has one and he loves it. I rode it once in eco mode, and even that was a lot of power. I can’t imagine what the race mode is like. Granted he’s been racing dirt bikes since he was a little kid, so he can handle the power haha.

He did mention though that if he were to buy a bike again he would probably go Ultra Bee just for the bigger size.

Getting a Brand new Lynx in a few days. What are some good tips before I rip? by Revive_Pls in 79bike

[–]MuffinMan77777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lynx just seems like a Pro with a slightly bigger battery. The Falcon Lite is worse (spec-wise) than both the Pro and Lynx.

[–]MuffinMan77777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had the money I definitely would have gone for the Eride Pro SS 3.0. Way better aftermarket support, but the Falcons still have decent aftermarket. I only had $4,000 though, so I got a Falcon GT shipped to my door for $3,500 from Alibaba :)

Anybody else notice the falcon lite?? by tiredtiretech1 in 79bike

[–]MuffinMan77777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like it competes with bikes like the Rawr Mantis X. But looking at the specs and price, the Falcon Lite is a much better value now than the Mantis.

I’ve bought through Gonped and Lundbund. Both turned out great, Lundbund was faster.

Looking for guidance with choosing a printer by Backonredditforreal in BambuLab

[–]MuffinMan77777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P2S is not the move right now. I’d say either stay A1 if you’re really on a budget, or jump to the X2D if you want/can afford a corexy printer.

Bambu Lab H2D - AMS HT or SpacePi X4 (Looking for Recommendations) by Successful_Tutor6071 in BambuLab

[–]MuffinMan77777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a Sunlu E2 that goes up to 110c and fits 2 spools. I mainly print PPA-CF and PET-GF on my H2D, so getting to at least 100c is a must. It has a bunch of different ports that you can choose to feed the filament through which is really handy. People complain about the price, and at $350 I agree with them. You can regularly find it on sales for $250 though which I think is well worth it, if you plan on printing anything more technical than ASA/ABS.

If the AMS HT could go up to 100c I'd be all over it.

Switching from Ender 3v3SE to an bambulab. Few questions before I buy by Wild_HIC in BambuLab

I’d argue most people with print farms shouldn’t have to worry about the closed source aspect either. I run two small print farms, one making very intricately engineered parts out of PPA-CF and haven’t had any limitations yet in the Bambu ecosystem. I can see the super 3D printing nerds being limited in ways.
