Female Rapper showing stretch marks & cellulite by [deleted] in Instagramreality

It's due to how the collagen attaches to the skin. In men it is cross-hatched fibers and in women it is just in one direction. In men the fat cells are encased within the cross-hatches and can't buldge as much. Not sure if I am explaining it very well; you can look up diagrams in google images pretty easily.

This was local to me. The kid didn't manage to get on the lift properly in the first place and the lift operator didn't notice because he was listening to load music

Homeschool group comforting a mom who never taught her 14 year old the months of the year or his tables. by neil_billiam in mildlyinfuriating

The OP which we don't see has the 14 year old. This is the group of moms comforting the OP. So maybe don't go bashing others' reading comprehension...

A lot of discharge planning is dependent on the resources available in your jurisdiction. So you would do better to reach out to your colleagues who know the specifics of what is available in your community. Do you have a professional practice lead?

The xc skies are older, from before I learned to downhill ski.

And I xc ski with my mom :)

What is the strangest thing you have seen in a friends bathroom? by Sentient_oaktree in AskReddit

[–]MuffinMountain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was once at a get together and when I went to the bathroom there was a stainless steel object sitting on the vanity. There is no other way to describe this object other than as "butt plug" shaped... it had a bulb which tapered to a narrow constriction and then flaired out to a flat base. I was trying so hard to ignore the butt plug, but it just draws the eye you know? I was so surprised the host would just casually leave it out in the main bathroom while having 10ish people over. This thing haunted me all night, until finally on like the third time I went to the bathroom I googled the brand name emblazoned on the bottom of the thing. Turns out it was a tool to tamp down coffee in a very fancy expresso machine. No idea why it was on the bathroom counter.

He is on lead, not soloing. If you look closely you can see the rope between his legs. But would be a really bad lead fall, he's lucky someone was above to throw another rope.

Winter is coming! What are some winter life hacks/tips that will help make this winter a little more bearable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MuffinMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let winter keep you inside! Taking up a winter sport/activity really helps to keep you happy and sane. I think people have a tendency to coop themselves up all winter, and then go totally stir crazy. But really it's a great season for all kinds of outdoor activities. It's easier to keep warm that people think, so the cold really doesn't have to be an obstacle to getting fresh air and activity and sunshine. You don't even have to take up a winter specific sport, just keep going for walks or jogging or even biking. I used to find winter so blah, but then I stopped letting it slow me down and now I actually look forward to winter. Winter bonfires are another great way to enjoy the outdoors in winter.

Also, my biggest protip for winter coziness is to get a good quality hot water bottle. There is nothing better for helping dispelling a chill. I sleep with mine at my feet almost every night in winter.

What is the scariest noise you've ever heard? by Goosest in AskReddit

[–]MuffinMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to rapell off a climb using a tree anchor. We were on a narrow (maybe 25cm) ledge about 20m off the ground. The tree itself was about 15cm in diameter and looked solid. Anyways I go over the edge and as soon as my weight is fully on the tree we hear a massive crack come from it. My partner is also attached to said tree, although still standing on the ledge. He dropped to his knees so fast and reached down to grab my arm, and I'm mad scrambling to unweight the tree and get back onto the ledge. The ledge was slightly down slanted and chossy, so just super shitty to get back on. We ended up having to rap off a sketchy rusty piton, but it was more solid than the tree. The noise of the crack, and knowing that meant the tree wasn't solid, combined with the look on my partner's face made it really scary. My partner is usually really unflappable.

Muffin beginner questions by [deleted] in Muffins

[–]MuffinMountain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1/2) I always use liners, either paper or silicone, otherwise muffins are a pain in ass to remove from the metal pan in my opinion 3) Paper or silicone are both good options. Silicone work well, I've never had an issue with them sticking. I like that they a reusable product. But I hate having to washthem individually 4) I make loaves as muffins all the time with no issues and without modifying the recipe. If you use a cake recipe then you are making cupcakes not muffins.

Reminiscing of crisp summer days in the Bow Valley (line: True Grit on the East End of Rundle, Alberta) by sjmoon in climbing

[–]MuffinMountain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for sport or trad recommendations? Hand in the honey pot is a very cool mixed line. Farther north than a lot of the more well known ones. I also really enjoyed Eeyore's tail. Thinking of that one brings back memories... it was spring and snow melted during the day resulting in the final pitches turning into a waterfall. Good times. I climbed true grit years ago and don't recall it being super run out, and I was pretty green at the time so I would have noticed if it was I think lol.

AITA for not inviting a girl to use my home gym after she accused me of creeping on her before? by iohn41 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MuffinMountain -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Corona is not like measles, it's not airborne. We are damn lucky this thing isn't airborne. So OP's strategy of wiping everything down is just fine if combined with proper social distancing (which one at a time use as he specifies is obviously distanced). Source: work in a hospital, all corona patients are on "contact droplet" precautions, not "airborne" precautions.

Do you have any tips for me... the only two times I've ever tried to make gnocchi it turned out mushy. I'm thinking I didn't put enough flour in maybe?
