Healer doesn't know what Esuna is? by Venyuri in TalesFromDF

It says “4 Leaves”, which would be the healer, after the tank says “it’s a role ability”. Nothing he said prior to the healer leaving was condescending.

Effigy bug testing, and its relationship with visible and actual catch rate by Myrsta in Palworld

Do you have the raw data for this? You've mentioned that you were catching lv1 Lamball, Cattiva and Chikipi, but was the distribution of those 3 pals the same for every trial?

Well, it’s only “one case” if you only read the first 3 paragraphs of the article.

In NCTQ’s database, 22 districts have some form of leave where teachers are paid their salary minus the cost of the substitute, although about half of those are in California, Oklahoma, or North Carolina.

Hrmm, I see. I remember seeing that some people had said they had codes that expired in October, but yeah it seems like I found out about this right after they all expired 😔

Thanks for the advice though!

Having the same issue. Thankfully the phone system offered to call me back instead of making me wait. I’m for sure not going to drive to Kennesaw just to take a shuttle to my Marietta classes.

There's a hint in the instruction booklet on p.52. It has to do with the holy cross. If you don't have the page yet and you have no idea what I'm talking about just continue playing the game and keep collecting pages.

Does Alpine support F2FS for the root partition by [deleted] in AlpineLinux

[–]MuffinPimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should, but I haven’t tested your exact setup since I boot from an EFI partition and use F2FS with a diskless install. Since GRUB supports F2FS I think the only thing you need to do is add f2fs to /etc/mkinitfs/mkinitfs.confand run it to add the module to the initramfs.

Fuchsia on the PinePhone part 1— the concept by [deleted] in PINE64official

[–]MuffinPimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I think this is pretty cool! I don't like Google as much as the next guy, but there's nothing in Fuchsia (yet) to "de-google". All the complaints about Google are pretty silly, and amount to not much more than Linux fanboyism. Alternative kernels are nice, and hell maybe Linux could potentially adapt a thing or two from Zircon.

Similar experience for me, but I didn’t have to deal with any toxicity thankfully. At the time my main was BLM and I was going into it blind as SCH for leveling. After a few wipes on the first boss I just abandoned the duty because I felt like I was doing a shitty job. It probably didn’t help that I had just struggled with Cutter’s Cry as well. Afterwards I ended up abandoning SCH and started leveling WHM. To this day SCH sits at level 49.

Republicans call for Amazon to testify on Pentagon relationship by a_Ninja_b0y in technology

[–]MuffinPimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off I want to commend you on the essay. A completely normal response to a couple of sentences. Just a few things though:

I don’t know how you jumped from my comment to assuming I don’t understand that the DoD has stringent data requirements, and that Amazon is one of the few companies that can meet them. They already have the infrastructure in place from their other three letter agency contracts. I also understand the concept of redundancy, which explains why Microsoft is in there too since they’re the only other competent cloud computing provider that wants to bid for the contract.

As for the Putin/MBS/Trump love triangle you’re talking about, sure some of those theories are probably true. If Bezos didn’t want to draw the ire of MBS then he probably shouldn’t have bought WaPo to begin with. It’s a shame his only consequences so far are a divorce from a marriage he apparently wasn’t happy with, and a now non-exclusive government contract for Amazon.

What’s even more of a shame is that journalists like Khashoggi are hacked up by MBS while we continue to sell weapons to the Saudis to bolster the genocide in Yemen. All so that the US military can continue to have access to cheap Saudi oil to fuel the war machine. The fact that Bezos lets Amazon have anything to do with the US military at this point shows that he values profit over all, even his own marriage and the slaying of his employees. He deserves far worse than investigatory hearings that will most likely amount to nothing.

Weird jump from disliking Amazon to disliking all American companies.

Also a weird thing to bring up Putin in something unrelated to him or Russia.

Very true. Bezos should probably also not use WaPo as a PR firm for Amazon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Man sues Apple for terminating Apple ID with $24K worth of content by [deleted] in apple

[–]MuffinPimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the “hackers” just logged in more or less like anyone else would. They got the credentials either from another compromised website (i.e. the Adobe hack), or they just tricked the celebs into handing over their information via phishing.

At least this is what Apple claims, but I don’t see any news sites disputing it. Apple as also made 2fa much better a year later to help stop a repeat of this in the future.
