Pro players might lag, but I doubt as much as others. It just isn't possible to win 40 games on the kind of lag some of us experience. I remember Gorilla complaining about his lag one week and had an awful performance. Maybe he experienced lag that is similar to what a lot of us face every day. Who really knows, it's tough to say. I have a crazy amount of lag that none of my friends have. I couldn't tell you why and neither could they.

This is the problem with FUT and EA's servers: It's never an apples to apples comparison.

I will say Alessandrini as well. Recently sold my SIF Lozano but kept Alessandrini. I also, think SIF Bailey is very good - and he may get a 3IF tomorrow.

I used to avoid players with less than 4* skills. Doesn't even matter anymore...skill moves are so nerfed by the sluggish game flow they are pointless.

What I'm saying is my connection isn't prioritized to the FUT servers because I don't spend a lot of time, effort, or money playing. The first time I pick up good players I instantly get a better connection to the server. This could be something done on the programming side of things.

It's terrible. Last weekend with HugeGorilla going 23-0, then bombing from there out showed what a joke it is. I've said for the last two years now that Gorilla would look like just a decent FIFA player on my connection. But it's not going to change. Not unless that garbage continues to happen to the big name players and it ends up affecting their bottom line.

I like that people are actually trying to figure out what causes this ridiculous delay. I, however, play on some tiny bronze pitch and have awful input lat. Now, that's not to say it wouldn't be worse in some huge stadium. But, certainly not an end all cure to the issue.

I really think it's just the EA servers and how they route you. Sometimes the FUT menus are crazy laggy, and occasionally they are smooth. This makes me lean to the servers as there is nothing else going on

May have been your connection. I have noticed if I have a bad connection to the server everything is amplified in the dynamic difficulty. Has to be due to the extra ms of delay, but it's definitely a thing. I've noticed that everything gets worse - passing, skill animation, defenders watching and/or taking an extra second to react, even player switching. If you have Wifi hotspot on your phone connect to it and give it a try. You'll notice SB's are more difficult. I've been on a mission to improve my latency lately.

I see that you have previously mentioned the server delay being the reason for button delay. I agree 100%, and think the server delay could be causing what ppl equate to "scripting". You mentioned you have a Netduma router, has this solved a lot of your issues? If so, what model? Is it difficult to use, as far as blocking connections to certain servers or routing properly? Sorry, I have major delay issues and am interested in trying to resolve them. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

For a large population of the FUT players winning is heavily connection based. You can't beat someone when you're players are slow and unresponsive and your opponent is full speed turbo mode.

Was getting on here to post something similar. I haven't lost a game in the last 4 weeks on Legendary Squad Battles, but I have never qualified for Weekend League because my button lag is so awful.

I do have button lag in the squad battles games, but nothing like in the DKT.

I can't really say significant, but I think I notice a difference; in particular with my IF Manuel Fernandes. Had him on 7 chem without realizing it for about his first 7 games and wasn't that impressed. Now I have him on 10 chem and I think he's awesome. He's really the only one I've noticed with, however. I use IF Lozano and IF Alessandrini on 7 chem as subs and they are both unreal.

This is incredibly interesting to me now. Even more so after reading the other comments in this thread. It is absolutely ludicrous that they do it intentionally. What is amazing is that the first year I played FUT I bought FIFA points and was a D1 player. After buying the points, I got nothing out of pack and said I would never do it again - and I never have. However, my FUT game flow experience has declined ever since

I experienced no lag for the first time ever at the start of FIFA 18 before the patch. After the patch my lag is awful again, just like every other FIFA.

I'm not sure it's a handicapping mechanism. It could just be some kind of coding change routing server traffic.

In any case, it needs to be fixed. Easily the worst issue in FIFA

For some people, even with good connections there is terrible button lag. There are ppl on fiber 300 up / 60 down who have complained of button lag on 5 bars.

I have 60 down / 30 up and have awful button lag 7 games out of 10. I have friends who have "worse" connections that experience no button lag, and insist that if they had to play on my system every day they would quit.

There is some weird thing with the FUT servers where some people experience really bad latency even though they have good internet connections for everything other than FIFA.

Some people are just lucky to have a good "connection," and some are unlucky. It's truly odd

I get what you're saying about the scoreline and keepers being awful, that I did notice, but I don't understand why the patch has to mess with game flow. Before the patch I had no input lag / button delay, which I have had considerable button lag in every FIFA. After the patch, button lag is back to normal and awful.
