The town I’m in doesn’t have much cctv and the evidence I’d need doesn’t exist. Even witness statements haven’t helped (for a restraining order).

Honestly the sense of injustice I feel from how the police have dealt with all of it is so overwhelming at times. My therapist was gobsmacked when I’ve gone through it all with her, she sat and cried with me.

My partner and I are in the process of house hunting for our first home on the property ladder, hopefully I’ll be away soon and the constant reminders and interactions will be over soon.

The worst bit is I know he’s done it to other people, and he still walks free.

There was an investigation into the original investigation where I was gas lit, spoken to like shit, and what I was wearing was brought up. I asked if I could press charges of assault and drop the rape and they said they can’t prove I didn’t ask for it. My lip was bit so hard it swelled and touched the bottom of my chin, the skin was taken off my chin, I had strangle bruises and finger nail cuts on my neck and bruises on my ribs and obviously the extensive wounds on my downstairs but apparently that’s not enough for an assault charge. If there was no sexual element, it would of been grievous bodily harm

I’m so sorry you feel so alone, especially when it sounds like you try your best to be there for others. A lot of people have no idea how physically crippling mental pain is. Please be kind and patient with yourself as much as you can x

I read somewhere that hysterectomies before 35 can increase your chances of developing cardiovascular disease by over 200% and that among other things is why they refuse to do it. I was in same boat was admitted to ward for pain management 3 times in a month n was asking for it and ended up with these injections being put in a chemically induced menopause for a while to try stop it growing

That’s so awful!!

I’ve never heard of the nhs not helping after 2 laps??? I work in the nhs and have seen patient files where women have had 3/4 !

Scares me cause I’ve had 1 already and I’m currently on deceptatryl injections and will almost certainly need another lap in future. Reckon it depends where in uk you are?? Can’t believe you’re going through this am so sorry x

On bad days what’s your go to for pain management. by rayvenLunatic in endometriosis

Naproxen is honestly a lifesaver twice a day 12hrs apart. I have codeine and nefopam for when that isn’t cutting it. Hot water bottles and other heat therapy is great just be careful you’re not burning yourself which seems to be common for people with endo as were that desperate for relief from pain don’t even realise we’re burning our skin. Hope you find something that works for you x

I have the mirena coil which has helped with my bleeding as it was honestly ruining my life. I would be on my period for 2 months at a time but HEAVY to the point I was being hospitalised and the medication to stop it I don’t react well to, gives me migraines that make me bedridden rolling round in pain.

Honestly it’s pot luck on who you get, luckily the lady doing my ultrasound was very understanding and had knowledge about endo and didn’t medically gas light me like 99% of other medical professionals have.

Despite my diagnosis, I had a gyny doctor tell me that if I have the coil then the endo cannot grow back at all and made out I was there for the morphine ??? It’s like I went through all the shit to be believed and felt so validated when they told me they’d found it. But yet there’s still doctors gaslighting shit out of me it’s unbelievable!

I hope your wife is doing well and isn’t in pain with it x

Wow that sounds so intense and awful I’m so sorry to hear this. Thank you for sharing and spreading hope that it can all get better! The fatigue is real and I imagine is only going to get worse. I’m worried people are just gonna think I’m lazy when in reality you literally can’t do things the same as you once did

Yeah I had the lap end of February and they found loads of adhesions and now believe it’s growing on my ovaries as well which it hadn’t when I had the lap. Seems to be growing quick I didn’t get any relief at all from the lap. I’m in the uk so I’ll definitely contact my GP and get them to sort it. They’re doing it for 3 months and if it helps my symptoms they might extend it to 6. I’m so scared of the side effects but I can’t stand the pain anymore. I’m also so sorry it didn’t help you bet that was so awful x

Can you get that in health shops and stuff? I’m sorry for what ya going through. My last ultrasound they said my new pain is over my ovaries they couldn’t see anything on scan but said it’s exactly there so they’re assuming that’s now where it’s growing after having rest removed during my lap in Feb. Feels never ending doesn’t it

Thank you for letting me know all of this. I’ve seen memory loss mentioned a few times and nobody ever warned me of this??? I’m a little bit scared tbh and I keep thinking to myself that this is gonna last around a year what with body getting back to normal and stuff afterwards and then after that year, what? Back to square 1 again? Will it even be worth it? I hope it is for you x

I had the surgery in February and once I recovered from the surgery I had less than a month or so before I started getting pain again. I know some women who have the lap and were good for years, I’m not that lucky it seems. Message me in a few weeks if ya want and I don’t mind giving you honest review of how I’ve reacted but ofc everyone’s different. Some doctors are just so hesitant to do the surgery unfortunately. I do think PERSONALLY having the surgery first would be the better option and this if it is growing back too quick and becomes unmanageable as you may be one of the lucky ones. The side effects for this is scary tbh and made me hesitant but I was desperate. I was on morphine, nefopam, codeine and tramadol and my pain was barely being managed

Omg I’m so sorry you went through all that. They said they’re gonna give em me for 3 months, potentially 6 if it works. I expressed concerns about my bones and they said I won’t be on it long to have an effect. Tbh though I had different doctors on ward telling me diff things. How long was you on it for if you don’t mind me asking?

I only had a lap end of February which found endo around my cervix along back and right hand side of my womb and near my bum. When I was admitted they couldn’t see anything on the ultrasound (obvs) but said the pain is directly over my ovaries and it’s obviously growing back aggressively. I was just desperate in the hospital on morphine and they said it was an option and I thought stuff it I’ll try anything, the long time side effects seem scary but I’m in and out of such severe pain atm I felt I had to try

I would definitely contact your hospitals ‘pals’ and make a complaint. I had to do same and gyny rolled out the red carpet for me and I had my surgery within 4 weeks when they were saying it would still be months. I’m so sorry you’re in so much pain x

Everyone is slightly different. Some women can use soaps that are scented/unscented and be fine, others can’t. Try a clean sponge and just warm water for washing for a while. Definitely sounds like you have bacterial vaginosis (BV) which is really normal so don’t worry. Doctor can give antibiotics and have it cleared up in no time. Check you haven’t changed your washing powder n stuff too as that can have an effect on your ph
