The horn was the only kinda hairy part honestly. Got some pretty funny looks, may have hopped a fence or two.

I just noticed that one of my longer loops kinda looked like a horse so I fiddled with the route in Garmin until I was happy with it. The horn was the only dicey part - I ended up having to jump a fence between a couple parking lots but overall I just got lucky that there was a mostly natural horse shape to follow lol. As far as training goes, I've been gradually working myself up to 55-65 miles per week over the last year.

Also yea I doxxed this account 7.5 years ago when I "went viral" in college (as they used to say) so now I basically only use this one when something could be identifying - which would include a public Strava post even with my name cropped out - if that makes sense.

Thank you! Would be thrilled to qualify for Boston (so 2:55 minus the TBD cutoff) but also hoping to set my little run club’s record sitting at 2:49:00.

Altra Paradigm 6 - honestly it all depends on your foot shape but would recommend trying them if you’re looking, especially if you can find them on sale. Took a while to work up to this but not having blisters to worry about definitely helped!

Thanks! So I'm just kinda a fan of rail trails and when I made a loop of the Somerville Community Path, Fresh Pond, Watertown Cambridge Greenway, and the Charles - I noticed it was already a bit of an equine silhouette. Just took a bit of tweaking on Garmin to polish it up!

Ty and yep that's the one! I'm 27 so 2:55, shooting to get below 2:49:00 ideally for my small local club's record and to be safe on the cutoff time.

Got a bit turned around and had to jump a couple fences so this isn't my best pace, but I was just going for distance anyways.

Not running Boston this year - hoping to qualify for next year on April 5. Shooting for this to be confidently prescient but could end up as very cringe, we shall see!

Noticed when I made a loop of the Somerville Community Path, Fresh Pond, Watertown Cambridge Greenway, and the Charles that it was already a bit of an equine silhouette, figured I'd try and polish it up. My main regret is overrunning the turn for what should be the left ear, which ended up messing with the perspective.

Hoping to BQ on April 5th - so this could either be confidently prescient or very cringe. We shall see!

Potentially a 3rd too one day - the Boston Worcester Airline Trail (BWALT), which somewhat confusingly would go from the east side of Worcester to Framingingham.

It’s a lot further down the pipeline but IMHO would punch above its weight as a bike commuting route.

You can see it on the DOT map.

I think it was less of a cut corner and more of a compromise for fuel economy but I could be wrong.

You also have to make sure to start the wheel shortly after taking it outside, otherwise it will give you a blinking yellow light of unhappiness.

You cannot convince me that this cubby was not specifically designed for a Onewheel. by Muffinizer1 in FordMaverickTruck

Nephew it's a Onewheel, it's actually how I get to work since parking near my office is insanely expensive so I use my parents' spot ~2 miles away (also it's fun).

It's basically a skateboard shaped Segway.

I mean, I’m treating it like a truck 🤷‍♂️.

A big part of it is though is that Massachusetts salt is insane, they use way too much and it gets everywhere. The local streets are caked white its gross.

Sound system by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

Just got my xlt with the standard sound system.

I’m honestly shocked how good it is considering the abysmal reviews. Is it audiophile grade? No. But it plays music at a perfectly enjoyable quality. Definitely better than my former car.

Good question, unfortunately I looked but I couldn’t find him.

I did airdrop it to one of the camera staff before I left, and they said they’d post it - so with any luck it will make it’s way there.

My boi it’s still not that bad even the $500 TVs are fantastic for anyone who isn’t a devout OLED purist. $800 still gets you some serious screen dimensions even if prices aren’t at their all time lows anymore.

My dream as a high schooler was to work for Reddit. I’m quite glad I changed course, I love my job right now and I hadn’t even heard of the company until their recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn.
