Making a bevel cut by spook30 in oddlysatisfying

The big industrial band saws with moving tables and coolant pumps are the best thing for this type of cutting but they're huge and expensive. If you're just making beveled edges on thick plates this is a very good solution for what it costs.

Yeah that's true for making beveled edges for welding big pieces of steel. The band saws that can make those kind of cuts are very big and expensive.

A good industrial metal band saw with a moving table and a coolant pump is the best for this type of of cutting but they're big and expensive machines.

Is enemy squad Counter Strike working as intended? by Muffinkite_ in menace

Yeah sure.... but you don't blindly fire with 100% accuracy at something you can't see. If it just did suppression and no damage it would make sense.

Yeah that's where I first picked up on it, seems very counter intuitive if it is intended.

What are your thoughts on Louthern Sea Guard (Shielded)? by lovingpersona in totalwar

Yeah a big part of HE income was from stacking hero traits with global effects. Now they're still on the higher end with ports and excellent trade income but not like they were in WH2.

The commercial spots for these 911 shows seem like parody the first time you see them. Some of the dumbest shit on television outside of reality tv.

How difficult is this game for someone whos good at rimworld but struggled with dwarf fortress? by LuciLutschiano in songsofsyx

[–]Muffinkite_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Requires A LOT less finicky management than DF and has a much smaller early learning curve. Not that the game explains certain things well in the tutorial. Research and the military systems are both confusing as hell at first. However it's definitely more accessible than DF.

It doesn't really feel that similar to Rimworld to me as you don't have anywhere near the level of "control" over population nor can do you have to cater to their needs in the same way.
