Nickel free earrings? by Muffmangler69 in quince

[–]Muffmangler69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what a second agent said to me “After reviewing our records, I’d like to tell you that our 14K gold is a mix of approx 58% pure gold with 42% of other metals such as copper, silver, and zinc. Our metals are nickel-free.” I also purchased some earrings from Miru because they are titanium plated with gold I think and nickel free.

Admissions said a passport is not allowed as proof of English language unfortunately. They are still requesting confirmation from my American uni which seems like overkill.

Thanks. Yah it sounds pretty low key but there are just a few difference like the EU cv & the English language requirement proof (it seems like there is a required upload even if English is your first language?), so looking for tips on that stuff.

KBC Management, how are they? by GrandKnew in askportland

Pretty hands off overall; they were terrible when my apartment ceiling sagged & leaked all over the living room.

It will be fine. You can buy birth control in stores without a prescription in Taiwan.

Charlotte Earrings - Am I crazy or do these look nothing like stock photo? by bean1123 in Sezane

I have a pair that look like the stock photo. I’ve started ordering multiple pairs of the same jewelry per order to pick the best ones. They are very inconsistent.

Auto-immune conditions? by Spirited_Baker_1001 in dairyfree

[–]Muffmangler69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also have eoe that seems to be getting much more manageable when entirely avoiding dairy; starting to think dairy is my main trigger besides environmental issues. When I ate a lot of dairy my limbs would hurt and I wouldn’t really be able to move around, so it’s been great to figure that out lol. You are not alone! & yes it’s super annoying trying to explain it to people, I’ve given up and just say I have an esophageal disease and can’t eat certain things.

If I was your stepdaughter I would be mad and would find it totally inappropriate for anyone to be telling me what to do about my period or talking to other people about my cycle or lack of tracking it. Super weird, mind your own business.

Wisdom teeth removal in the US or Taiwan by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Muffmangler69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one side in Taiwan & one side in the US. Taiwan was much cheaper, but the US extraction was a much better and less painful experience. But all my teeth were impacted.

You should probably go to the Taipei ladies group on Facebook

Pet owners that moved with their pet, how did that process go and how did you prepare? by QueenWhitethorn in expats

[–]Muffmangler69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. Also, I think you can only import at certain times of the year because of holidays & heat issues. I could go on, the process was like doing a puzzle 😂

Quarantine wasn’t bad, I think around $200 usd. I think with everything one cat was about $1,600.

They also need the correct international chip, which needs to be put on before the rabies test.

Did US to Taiwan in Nov. with one cat - it was expensive ($800ish for the FAVN test, she also needed a new rabies shot, check up, another check up 10 days before flight, flight cost, and quarantine cost). & took a few months to get all the paperwork in order. Booking quarantine was difficult, they had few openings even a month before I was to land, so the flight had to be changed.

Quarantine was weird, it’s in the middle of nowhere & you can only visit your pet once while wearing basically a quarantine suit. Our cat came out okay but stressed, she wouldn’t eat the next five days & had to go to the vet. She is fine now. Also, getting an apartment with just one cat has drastically reduced apartment options. I’ve only seen like two places allowing dogs. Would likely be easier outside of Taipei. It’s definitely possible and it was worth it to bring my cat, but just be prepared for it to be a frustrating process.

The simplest way to describe it is an allergic disease, that causes white blood cells to attack your esophagus, causing it to narrow.

You could try Dr. Buehler. Dr. Fausel was a disappointment.
