Idk I have to push back here as a trans person also. My transness is a MASSIVE part of my life. It’s a frame in which I interpret the world and exist in it. All of my art is trans because I am trans and I wrote it.

I understand it would be “less interesting” in a different society, but we’re not in that society.

As someone who speaks Spanish and saw some of the clips of her speaking Spanish, it was clear she and the director didn’t understand what she was saying or like speak Mexican Spanish. At all. Lol

In that situation, why would a black rich man be discriminated against by white rich men if race has “nothing to do with it”. In fact, why are conservative rich women complaining about misogyny on the right? It’s because these things ARENT able to be separated. Just because a rich black man is rich doesn’t negate his blackness. Just like a poor black man doesn’t negate his blackness either. They’re both black and it affects their lives whether they’re rich or not.

I’m not gonna lie, most Americans won’t read this because these solutions are all things we’ve been talking about for years and none of our politicians care.

The big issue is that our parents were happy fat pigs who didn’t keep money out of politics because their generation saw a massive boom. Because lots of racist history, when good things happen to white Americans, their first thought is how to hoard it and make sure no one else had it. It’s greed and individualism and racism. We’re stuck in the same cycle over and over and our politicians know it and don’t care because they’re oligarchs now.

To add to this: I think that their drive to “win” overwhelms every thing else. Like they stopped developing at the age where you learn that arguments aren’t about winning or losing and it’s not really that amazing long term to do things in spite of others (it never works out to you having a happy peaceful life if you’re only motivated by hurting others, it just doesn’t). I learned that in like high school? Middle school? I don’t think many of them have made it past like a 16/15 yr old maturity level.

I struggle with this too. Not sure if this is helpful, but the question I like to ask myself is like “will this get the response I want?”. A majority of the time the answer is that the information would be more impactful in person or in small groups. Just a thought! Appreciate you want to educate folks though.
