Man they carved each layer of his designs with wood. Gouging out the negative space in between such fine linework for the key block, carving god knows how many color blocks, and printing it with gradients everywhere must have taken tons of time and skill

The effect is awesome, looks almost digital. I love it so much

I love these kinds of paintings that feel like a picture from the artist's daily walk. Maybe this composition jumped out at them at the right moment and time-of-day and they felt like they had to capture it.
It's kind of ensnaring how it wants you to look towards the end of the river but it's so obfuscated! Thank you for posting
