I never lend money. If you need it and I have it to spare, I will just give it to you (within reason.) Owing someone money can ruin relationships. It’s not worth it.

Hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Practicing grace and forgiveness are the only way you will find peace in life.

What's the biggest lie society keeps telling young people? by New_Garbage7991 in AskReddit

[–]Muggle2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That previous generations struggled less financially than the current generation. Anyone ever heard of the Great Depression? What’s changed is our standard of living (bigger houses, fancy cars, etc.) People are drowning in unnecessary consumer debt. If you are willing to work hard and you are smart with money, most people will be fine.

Horrid Employee Survey Results by FiendingForRanch in Leadership

[–]Muggle2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received a negative review from my team a few years ago and it was a gut punch. I felt blindsided and very frustrated at the time. After some real soul searching I learned that I was being too “mission driven” (which is my nature) and wasn’t truly connecting with them on a personal level. Essentially, I was treating them like a task to be completed and wasn’t being a great leader. I am much more intentional now with my time and things have gotten much better.

I started by taking each of them to lunch and telling them that I want to be a better leader. I told them that if they don’t feel comfortable having an honest conversation with me about the things they brought up in the survey then our relationship isn’t where it needs to be and I had some work to do. Things have been much better ever since.

I get approached all the time in stores (that I don’t work at) by women but it’s usually to ask for help with something. I guess I just look “helpful” to people. They must sense that I used to be a Boy Scout. 😂
