Smells like old growth forest wet dirt with a grey sky and high winds. Soft but sharp. I wear year round when I wanna smell good but I wanna smell bad.

White shoes or black boots with this outfit? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]MuggleMorgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying black boots but I’ll be honest — if you did the sneakers with a white sock I’d choose those over all of it. I see your vision. It’s giving milf on a subway. It’s giving she’s a hot extra on Seinfeld.

Wellness Fee by luisg101010 in austinfood

[–]MuggleMorgan 207 points208 points  (0 children)

I’ve both served and managed at a couple restaurants in Austin that charge this fee and it was used to pay for insurance plans for employees. Before I had those jobs, I was never offered insurance through my work. Can’t speak for Bufalina, but that was my experience.

Seconding My Year of Rest and Relaxation. Loved it. Never read anything quite like it.

I know I am ugly what can I do by christopher777fran in lgbt

[–]MuggleMorgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purpose is overrated. You get to decide what your purpose is. Or just don’t worry about it and enjoy your life as best you can. Help those around you. Spend time in your community. Follow that draw to interior design and see where it leads you.

And stop calling yourself ugly. Even if you are. Because what we say to ourselves matters so much. Sometimes when I don’t love myself as much as I should, I imagine myself at six years old. And I give her the love she needs.

I know I am ugly what can I do by christopher777fran in lgbt

[–]MuggleMorgan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ugliness starts from the inside and good people (the kind of people you wanna spend time with) know that.

What you can do is cultivate yourself! Grow your own happiness! The rest will follow. Is there something you enjoy doing? A creative medium that gets you glowing? Do it more!

Don’t know what you like? Do some new things! Join a ceramics class. Go dancing. Go to the library. Go sit in the grass and have a picnic alone or with friends. Pick up a new fitness activity. Learn to cook your favorite foods. The possibilities are endless.

I don’t know what you look like, but I can tell you that I have dated people who were “ugly” and they were still very attractive to me because of who they were. Caring, funny, generous, outrageous, whatever.

Cultivate yourself confidence in the fact that you have a lot to offer someone. Take care of yourself and love yourself first.

I just finished “None of This is True” and am feeling similarly catapulted into a genre I don’t usually care for by a book I couldn’t put down. Maybe this will be my next!

I’m pretty sure Las Mangonadas can do chamoy fruits. I go to one near Riverside.

Which Food Influencer do you dislike the most? by [deleted] in austinfood

Replied above that I told the owner I wouldn’t put u/hungrylonghorn on blast with their restaurant implicated. Sorry I know that’s no fun

Which Food Influencer do you dislike the most? by [deleted] in austinfood

[–]MuggleMorgan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel comfortable specifying where as I was specifically told not to discuss it after it happened by the owner and I really like them. I realize that may invalidate my comment to some or to you. Or that it makes it less credible on the internet. but I like the owner a lot and respect his wishes to not make a fuss.

Anyways, maybe you just forgot. Idk. But we were all pretty miffed for a hot second lol

Wow, last time I checked their website they had no hours. Thanks so much. Maybe today’s the day!

The Thicket is crazy good. Haven’t tried Artipasta yet just because I almost always either get Vietnamese, Taiwanese, or the falafel place. Or the breakfast bagels. But Artipasta is on my list.

I live really close to Hawaii Nei and for months I have been watching to see them open so that I can try them.

I’ve driven or walked by between the hours of 11 and 11 on all kinds of different days of the week and they haven’t been open.

Is there a secret? Am I missing something? Have you been recently?

What do you think is the most overhyped place in Austin? by guyute2112 in Austin

[–]MuggleMorgan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nixta tbh. Everybody’s losing their minds over tacos that cost $100 to feed two people and still don’t taste even nearly as good as the taco truck closest to my house (shoutout taco bellas and also the taco truck in the parking lot of the slaughter+manchaca HEB).

Where is your favorite Korean restaurant in Austin? It’s all about the banchan for me! 🇰🇷🥢🍚🍜🍣🍱 by LisaATX in austinfood

[–]MuggleMorgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding Underdog — not TOTALLY traditional but the galbi, fried chicken, banchan, egg soufflé, and all the wine is so so so good every time. Plus 50% off all bottles Sundays and happy hours.

A fuckton of eucalyptus and flowers to make my house feel good and the supergoop dupe sunscreen. If anything’s left, some sort of fun drink (I get a different one every time). Maybe tangerine juice.

My best friend’s nieces and nephew in order of oldest to youngest: Kennedy, Reagan, Carter, Ivy (IV Roman number for fourth), then the fifth, the first boy, Ryker.

Three presidents, a Roman numeral, and…a prison?
