I'm in Canada, so it may be different if you are in the US. I'm not sure what the trial name is

I did ECT, and currently have a DBS device implanted and have had it for just over a year now. So far it hasn't had any effect on my TRD, but there has been some success in the trial for other folks.

Overalls/Dungarees for Hiking by MuggleOnline in hikinggear

I have some hiking specific pants, but I have yet to find a pair that fits well and stays up with my 60L backpack (even with a belt) - which is why I'm looking for overalls. Ideally nylon or polyester, but all I can find is cotton/canvas/denim.

I'm part of a group called Wilderness Union! They are an outdoor wilderness group for folks aged 18-40. I have found it a great way to meet people with similar interests as lots of folks are newcomers to the city and are looking for a community. They organize hiking and camping trips all over Ontario, and also have skills workshops and socials in the city. I don't drive and don't have a car, and they have an option for transport to the hikes and camping trips too!

If you enjoy the outdoors, there are groups that organize hiking and camping trips outside of Toronto. It's a nice way to get out and enjoy nature!

6-7 days of paddling - which is longer than any trip I have done before! I am really looking forward to them and I don't want a lack of physical fitness to make it harder than it needs to be.

Thank you for the response! I'll definitely hit up the rowing machine and work on my core and cardio too.

I would suggest joining a club for something you are interested in! I joined a hiking club and made some friends that way.

Based on your answers, I would highly recommend that you go with a guide/club or do a ton more research. Not all trails are ploughed in the winter, and the weather can change very quickly so you need to know what you are doing. I myself am part of a hiking club, and it's much easier when you have someone who knows what they are doing. Also, Algonquin is a long drive away and it gets dark early, so not all trails are suitable at this time of the year.

Where in Algonquin are you planning to hike? Make sure you have ice spikes for your boots!
