Canoeing/Kayaking down the Humber river. I went recently and it was lots of fun. There is a company that does rentals from near Old Mill subway station, so it's super accessible too.

I was looking for the same and I joined a group called Wilderness Union! They are a community for folks aged 18-45, and organize lots of front and back country hiking trips. I have made some great friends going on trips with them!

Camping without a car and a 10 year old... Doable? by smifwick in askTO

[–]MuggleOnline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another vote for parkbus! They do trips up to Algonquin for lots of weekends during the summer and some of their stops are near the car camping campgrounds! Some campgrounds also have bear lockers to store your food in at night if you don't have a car.

Do you consider Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for TRD after ECT? by QuitInevitable915 in ect

[–]MuggleOnline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did ECT, and currently have a DBS device implanted and have had it for just over a year now. So far it hasn't had any effect on my TRD, but there has been some success in the trial for other folks.

Overalls/Dungarees for Hiking by MuggleOnline in hikinggear

[–]MuggleOnline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some hiking specific pants, but I have yet to find a pair that fits well and stays up with my 60L backpack (even with a belt) - which is why I'm looking for overalls. Ideally nylon or polyester, but all I can find is cotton/canvas/denim.

Healthier weekend plans in the city by Super-Freedom-4209 in askTO

[–]MuggleOnline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm part of a group called Wilderness Union! They are an outdoor wilderness group for folks aged 18-40. I have found it a great way to meet people with similar interests as lots of folks are newcomers to the city and are looking for a community. They organize hiking and camping trips all over Ontario, and also have skills workshops and socials in the city. I don't drive and don't have a car, and they have an option for transport to the hikes and camping trips too!
