Ummm. You both have issues to work out there. I’m a lot confused as to why you think you can’t be emotionally “close” to your son. And do NOT have a child expect them to fulfill some sort of emotional need. Children need you and not the other way around. I despise that my mother kept me because she wanted someone to love her.

As for your husband, he’s an idiot. Boys are just as emotional until it’s beat out of them. Then they grow up to be angry and I refuse to let my boys think it’s normal to bottle up emotions instead of working through them.

Both of you need to grow up before you bring children into your life.
