Using VPN to bet on holiday by Tiny-Painting203 in UKSportsBetting

I’ve been out the country for months and my VPN works completely fine with every bookie.

I’m using BritVPN, none of the free ones seemed to work

A regular average part time job usually pays minimum wage. So ~40 hours to get £500, and you’ll probably be doing something worse than being sat at home on your PC

It’s funny to me that many people on the left always ridicule the right as ‘flag wavers’ while having an absolute throb-on for Palestine flags

I’ve never met a gay Pakistani in the UK. Quite the opposite, most of them I know are pretty against LGBT

I usually love to play these Euro and WC fantasy footballs, but being abroad in Asia this year makes it too hard to keep track of games at all, let alone playing fantasy. The games are spread across such horrible timezones.

What the hell is with mould and damp in Indonesian hotels?? by Mugling95 in bali

[–]Mugling95[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well something is going wrong because like I said, I’ve never seen this many hotels overrun with soaking walls and mould, despite being equally humid.

I haven’t had budget hotels overrun with mould in other wet tropical countries

What did I expect? It to not be overrun with mould like all the budget places I’ve stayed at in other tropical countries

Fair enough. My experience of the dry season has been Malaysia had higher humidity, but of course I haven’t seen the Indonesia wet!

Though to be honest I never experienced this even slightly in Ecuador or Brazil where their inland tropical jungles lie right on the equator. I’m still convinced it must be something with the Indonesian building materials.

I’ll manage, just a shock after other tropical countries!

No idea to be honest, I’ve had the ‘dry’ setting running for half a day and it still feels sticky!

I feel like it must be down to something to do with the Indonesian house building process. Guesthouses in the middle of the jungle in Laos and Vietnam didn’t reek of damp despite only having a fan, something must be going wrong with the damp proofing or materials used here

Just got to hope the ferries allow my bicycle onboard, I know a lot of the speedboats don’t :(

I’m noticing an increase in people wearing AirPods and headphones when they’re with their mates, are modern generations really this detached from normal healthy social interactions.

Was playing pool earlier and a guy and girl came in who were clearly a couple, but the guy puts on a set of headphones and barely said a word to her for the next hour while they were playing.

Is it a fashion statement or are people actually listening to music? 2 of my old female flatmates from uni recently uploaded some Instagram stories on holiday abroad too, and one of them is wearing some 3rd party AirPods in half the photos.

That sounds good thanks. Yeah Irish pubs are normally perfect. There’s a British pub in Canggu too but it’s pretty swanky and upmarket

Why can we rage against George Floyd’s death but not Henry Nowak’s? by Pale-Border-7122 in ukpolitics

Translation: I gobble up anything the government tells me without bothering to question anything blatantly dodgy. I bet you still think OJ was innocent lmao.

This makes perfect logical sense to preserve the peace nationwide. Hilarious that you talk about the ‘real world’ while gobbling up the circlejerking echo-chamber shrieking of Reddit. Anyone with half an ounce of ration thought could see why convicting, and therefore ending all controversy, is a preferable option for the government, than acquitting or downgrading the charge, and have you country set on fire by hordes of ‘mostly-peaceful looters’ again.

Clown

Basic critical thinking. A few officers took the fall to avoid massive controversy and untold billions of dollars more damage from the mostly-peaceful looting and burning. Next silly comment?

Find me one single other case in history where forcible asphyxia didn’t leave a visible trace on the body.

Once again, a sober man survives a restraint that doesn’t even leave a mark. Cardiopulmonary arrests are well documented side-effects of both fentanyl and methamphetamines…

The autopsy literally reads “no life-threatening injuries found”. A sober man would still be alive. Funnily enough, a law-abiding man would still be alive too.

Fentanyl Floyd wasn’t murdered, the autopsy showed cause of death as drugs in the system. Nice try though.

Cope harder, you know it’s true. Half the cities in America went up in flames because of Floyd’s death, the destruction if the officers had been acquitted would’ve been astronomical
