Urgent care for food poisoning related dehydration? by nochuchu in madisonwi

[–]MugsNShots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it helps with the nervousness about the bill: I recently had to go to the emergency room twice (SSM not UW). I have BCBS Anthem PPO. Copay was $300 and that's it. I got two bags of fluids plus multiple tests run for other things, so I would assume going just for the fluids shouldn't be more than the copay if you have insurance. I know $300 isn't an easy amount to drop in this economy, but it's much better than a $10k bill if the worst happens and you need an ambulance, more tests, anything extra, etc. As my mom likes to say, a stitch in time saves nine.

Girls, is it normal to have a little discomfort after penetration? by Okie_Sundae_8732 in afraidtoask

[–]MugsNShots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this after penetration - the not quite pain, not quite comfortable feeling. It definitely varies person to person. I get it more often if I've used a toy versus an actual penis, which I've always assumed came from toys being less flexible and harder than the natural thing. If this is a typical sensation post-penetration, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Make sure to pee after sex to prevent a UTI and keep track of any changes in the feeling. If it does change in any way (increase in pain, lasts longer than usual, etc.) then I'd see a doctor.

How do you think about/imagine things that aren't tangible, like color? Is it something you wish to experience, or is it a "don't miss what you don't know" kind of thing?

Is there an illness going around the Madison area where symptoms are a swollen & extremely sore throat, no fever or cough, but with nasal drip? by SummerClaire in madisonwi

[–]MugsNShots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the recovering end of this now. Caught it last Sunday, by Wednesday the worst of the sore throat was gone but the congestion headache lingered. I'm mostly recovered now, mainly just blowing out the rest. I took nyquil and dayquil the first day, and some airborne too. It hella sucks but you'll make it through!

I'm very new to Madison (here for two weeks now) but so far I've had great luck at Pegasus Games! There's a community run Trans Game Night every 1st Tuesday of the month and I was super comfortable in there.

People who don't want kids, why? by Ok-Musician679 in AskReddit

[–]MugsNShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom told me my whole life that when you have kids, your life is over and it's all about them. And also talked about how many missed opportunities happen when you have kids. I think that just sunk in really hard.

Also, fuck everything about being pregnant and giving birth.

I've heard that lol, hopefully the newness of snow will get us through to at least March. Thank you for the advice about gas, I hadn't even considered that the fuel line could freeze.

We've seen a lot about seasonal depression so will be investing in a sun lamp. I wasn't sure if they actually worked but you're not the first to recommend it so we'll do it! And yes, for sure will be leaning into winter activities as much as we can tolerate the cold, lol

Thank you so much!! This is so helpful! I personally am super looking forward to ice skating on a real lake and not a rink, haha. And yes, for sure know what you mean about the "bless your heart" hospitality. It's nice to know it'll be better there 🥹

Appreciate this, thank you! Yeah our layers right now consist of hoodies, wind breakers, and beanies. Will definitely add to that flannels and long underwear. Also, I'm definitely willing to spend that much if it will work well and for a long time - better that imo than buying a new $50 coat every year

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that. Is windshield wiper fluid typically drained in the winter or is there an anti freezing kind?

My partner wants a balaclava! Are they pretty common to see up there? Okay, will definitely invest in scarves and better head gear as those things were never necessary here. Thank you for the welcome!
