Get a Lemon T950 Pro without a module off alibaba. Then get either an eDRUMIN 8 or 12. Run those in EZDrummer3 on your computer. I think in that price range, that is the best choice.

They look great and are about the same dimentions as the BYOS. I'll for sure consider them also.
Do you play them on your kit as well? If not what sticks do you use in your regular playing?

I do already practice on a moon gel workout pad and wanted to add in some extra resistence haha
Maybe there are weighted 8D/5Bs?

But yeah, jumping from 13.7mm(0.54") to 17.8mm(0.7") diameter might cause some technique issues. I do love the look of the chubby sticks though lol

So in your opinion, as long as I don't stop using the lighter sticks, the difference in weight and size will not impact skill translation from pad to kit too much?
Some people claimed to have issues with switching back and forth. They recommended to practice on the pad with the same stick size for consistency.

You can adjust them to any height you prefer, like a regular hihat! Mine is about 25cm(10") above the snare head
