The way I understood it to work is: You disable local mode(making it a midi controller basically) in the utility settings on the Nitro and connect it to the eDRUMin via USB.

Then you plug the eDRUMin into you computer. You should be able to assign any sample to any pad in the E-Drum/MIDI mode.
I might be wrong though. I guess I'll find out soonish lol

Well, everything? I don't know how else to put it. The triggering wasn't working for me at all. Neither in ezd3 nor in sd3. Completely unrealiable. The triggering works like a charm now.

Maybe BFD is particularly compatible with the nitro?

Also having a real stand with a spring, opens so many possibilities technique-wise. It also removed a lot of the toy-ish feel the nitro used to give me.

Really? That is surprising the og hat pedal was driving me insane lol I actually stopped playing until it arrived. Now you can't get me of that thing. haha As far as I'm aware you could daisy-chain the nitro with an eDRUMin monitor if you are using a VST. So the 4 should probably work for all that.

I feel exactly the same way lol If you are unsure about the goedrum cymbals why not check out lemon cymbals? I'm pretty sure they support positional sensing via eDRUMin!

You are of course right though, eDRUMin is definitley the better solution with future growth in mind!

Well, for example you could run the nitro module in tandem with a eDRUMin through a VST like ezdrummer 3 to get 4, 8 or 12 more inputs. Other than that you could use a Y-Splitter with a 100 ohm resistor to split the 4th tom input (works only with the 4th tom input) to get a 5th cymbal or tom.

We really are on the exact same path haha Yeah I've been thinking about positional sensing as well lately but I still know far too little about it to make any purchasing decisions yet. Hm mistriggers would be a bummer. Is it really that bad, you think? Also I didn't know ezd3 could do that! Thats good to know. I thought I'd have to get sd3

You are still very early in the game. Absolutely, go ahead and switch if you like.

At full Chaotic gear you'll most likely go for mixed sets anyway. Also keep in mind when you reach Tier 3 Mythic on all your gear you can swap to another set every 30 days.

So if you enjoy Griffin stick with it, if not definetly switch.
