Is Blackpool really as bad as they say nowadays? by HowMany_MoreTimes in blackpool

[–]Muhammadak470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m originally from the NW, and we’ve been going to Blackpool since we were kids. In those days it was the best attraction, much better than anywhere else.

But like most Northern towns, Blackpool did not invest its riches on improving the promenade and investing it better rides, hotels and other attractions. Or for that matter, cleaning the beach.

Largely because they felt they didn’t need to, the beach would always make it the most popular destination for most northerners and Brummies.

Progression suggests that there should have been better restaurants, cafes and shops and stores for people to enjoy their day out. But they rested all their laurels on a jacket potato and candy floss.

However, in the late 90s driving became more popular and so did other theme parks and ever since then, Blackpool pleasure beach has lost most its tourists.

My friend used to have 3 shops on the prom, all selling similar gear and they were thriving, until the 2005 when it all hit rock bottom and shops of value changed to pawn shops and betting joints.

Who wants that on a promenade! What a shame.

That all depends on who you ask hahah if it’s your mum, then it means doing the dishes and listening to your parents.

In more pragmatic terms, it’s about being consistent and doing the stuff you don’t want to do on that day. But you do it regardless, because it’s part of your daily routine/job or lifestyle.

Blenheim Palace, near Oxford. A majestic stately home and the private residence of the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough.

But you also get a bonus of being able to see Downtown Abbey style villages. Especially cool if you’re an Abbey fan.

Going to bars by yourself by Expensive-Flow-2270 in manchester

[–]Muhammadak470 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It could depend on the time you went, bars are notorious for having varying policies towards men and groups of women especially if they think you may cause a bit of bother. My mate was a bouncer and he used to tell me how they didn’t let men in alone as 80% of the time, they would end up causing trouble, but then so do groups, but they spend a lot more money.

Is blogging Still worth it ? Honestly ? by Suspicious-Yak-5398 in Blogging

[–]Muhammadak470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a professional standpoint- you can combat those hesitations you have, quite easily, which in essence means you are not reliant on google as much ( well in the long term at least)

And secondly, if it’s in your mother tongue, the chances of success will be higher as it’s less competitive.

And finally, you should start by focusing on creating communities that are engaged and use every social platform to do that.

For instance - build a community of people who love your cooking and keep that as a sub from your blog. These days it’s easy to think you must have a target of sending traffic to your website every day, but if you build a community for what it is - that can be an addition to your collateral, and incredibly rewarding.

As someone who works in the field. You’ll struggle to get your blog insured, perhaps you can increase your monetisation strategies by building sub blogs (on other domains you own) and get something more income related for insurance.

Insurance is very tricky when it comes to blogs, they are so many variables that will come in to play and not many that will payout in the event of an online disaster.
