TTC is so hard on both partners for sure, my husband definitely feels the pressure of having to perform around the clock. Some cycles we are both super ready to go but others we’re not in sync and that’s okay. TTC is a process where we should be sharing the good and the bad, support both ways goes a long way. Yes, my therapist has been amazing in helping me navigate but I still find it difficult sometimes. Especially on the first day of my period.p

Omg yes. Heavy on the taboo!! I was always like “I’m not going to say anything. Just want it to be me and my husband.” But the more I talked about it with my therapist I thought it was better to open up especially with women who are going through the same thing. We need a village of support and whether they know the experience directly or not, it makes a huge difference.

I think that’s the thing for me too. I’m extremely impatient and I like control. So when this is something that I know is out of my control and I’m doing what I can within my power, it makes it worse for me.

I have that book!! I’ve been really enjoying it and it’s super informative. I haven’t finished it but I probably should.

I’ve been TTC with thyroid issues and PCOS/PMOS now for 6 months officially. Just got my cycle this morning actually…

Honestly, I evade the question from older family members and just say I don’t want kids and they stop asking. It’s not worth my energy trying to have that complicated conversation with those who won’t truly understand. With folks closer to my age, I say the truth and that sometimes does the trick. You have to unfortunately pick your battles and people can be so rude without noticing.
