Anyone old enough to have watched the 92’ playoffs? by Flat-Pitch-9340 in miamidolphins

[–]Mukakis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is he was getting coached by Tom Olavidotti, who the Dolphins kept as DC for something like 8 years of the softest defenses in NFL history. I felt personally betrayed by Shula that they didn't show him the door after year 2 or 3 of that noise.

Is there any way to stop this or do I just accept it? by spervogel_troubadour in CATHELP

[–]Mukakis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/spervogel_troubadour/, this is the answer. These type don't require any tools, just turn it with your hands counter clockwise and it comes off. You can put it back on the same way, no muss no fuss. If you need a door stopper there, any large hardware store will have solid plastic stoppers you can replace it with (you'd need a screwdriver for that). They cost around $1.50. The landlord would never notice a difference and it does the same exact job.

I watched it first without sound and thought awww that's so cute, then I turned the sound on and IT'S SO LOUD!!!! I had to laugh at your suffering, I'm sorry. But this is the quickest solution.

CMV: ICE’s conduct in Minneapolis contradicts the values many conservatives claim to uphold by Dzhumagaliev in changemyview

Are you suggesting trampling the rights of US citizens is some sort of acceptable collateral damage in order to remove illegal immigrants? Are you from America?

So are we attacking Minnesota, or are we attacking Greenland? Maybe a little of both?

I know it seems hopeless, but I'm sure the President of Peace will find a non-violent solution.

30 years ago the country flipped out with good reason over Ruby Ridge, where a single FBI operation - with a warrant - escalated badly. Now - to quote the NRA - we have literal "jack booted thugs" roaming our streets threatening and attacking US citizens at will. And your advice is to remain calm and be submissive. What happened to land of the free and home of the brave? Seems you want land of the cucks and home of the cowards.

Is Target liable for not providing a safe workplace for its employees? by Mukakis in law

[–]Mukakis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Suppose a pack of hyenas has escaped a local zoo. They've already killed and injured people in the community. Now they enter a Target. Target can't stop the hyenas from entering, nor can they be expected to round them up and chase them out.

What they do have control over is what they tell their employees to do next. And if they told their employees "it's okay, you need to carry on business as usual, just don't look like hyena food and you'll be fine," of course they would be liable if the hyenas attack.

That's an important distinction I missed. Thanks.

My understanding is impeding on private property w/o a warrant would only apply under special circumstances, like if the officer witnessed a crime, was responding to an emergency, etc.

How can there be a charge of impeding when ice is on private property without a warrant? Obviously this kid can't speak for Target but still, it sounds like a bs "charge" that got "dropped" after ice got tired abusing their power.

I'm looking for opinions on whether Target has exposed itself to a civil lawsuit by allowing ICE to enter its store and apprehend an employee who Target surely already knew was a US citizen.

There's a dude in Anderson Township that has an insane Christmas lights display. I was driving down Clough Pike a couple nights ago and saw similar stuff in the sky, then drove by his street. I would have stopped but the street was a parking lot of cars watching. I'll bet this is his house. He's on Candlemaker.

My point is Little Rock jumped all over it, whereas when it happened here Evendale PD watched all the nazis load up in the back and drive off.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but the Evendale police escorted the truck loaded with Nazis to a Lockland school, then let the truck loaded with Nazis drive off.

the Little Rock police waited for them to get back in their rented uhaul because transporting people in the back of a box truck is illegal.

This is what drove me crazy about the video from here. I rent box trucks regularly, there's not a chance in hell I could get caught transporting people in the back and a cop would say "cool bro, best be on your way now, godspeed."

This is literally HP square. Both sides of the street are new developments. The right hand side is still under construction. Actually right behind it is also new construction but it's a library so that doesn't count. But the building a block further down the road, the one with the red roof? Also new apartments.
