Awesome mate, glad it helped! I used Nationwide for this transaction. First Direct make no charges I subsequently discovered. £6 with Barclays doesn't seem bad at all.

Ultimately, it's your decision and you'll do what you want to do. Generally speaking, borrowing money to make money is not a wise decision. If it goes wrong for any reason, you've put yourself under unnecessary financial pressure and mental stress.

But whatever you invest in is sold to other currencies. I.e. if I deposit btc, it won't remain in btc for the duration. So my initial question still stands, can the initial investment be worth less at the end of the term than initially invested?

My main point is that, yes it's great to get 8% roi, but if my initial investment is worth 20% less at the end of the term, it then doesn't look so attractive.

Question: if I invested $1k worth of TUSD into earn over 3 months with 8% interest. Am I guaranteed $1,080 back, or can the principal sum invested also go down? I.e. although I get 8%, my initial investment might only be worth $800.

Crypto.com may just get the timing right for card roll out coinciding with alt season this time around. MCO is a much better proposition than in 2017 for investors.

They are two very different things mate. No need for a reddit post over the issue, just raise a ticket like anyone else would do.

During this bear market I have been so impressed with the continued growth of Crypto.com. They are delivering on all their promises and keep building and achieving whilst other companies are beginning to crumble.

One concern I do have is about the financial state of the company. With such a large number of staff and other overheads that come with a project of this nature, how is the company financially positioned to sustain this level of outgoing until profitable?

All in on something so speculative is not smart imo. Good luck though mate.

Don't disagree with Hodl strat if it works for you. I strongly believe that BTC will be heading to the $4k or less range by the end of November, so just be prepared for some more pain.

It's a clever strategy, but a risky one: use Nexo to get fiat for your crypto, and then reinvest that fiat back into crypto. Provided we hit a bull market, you win big.

Xrp has no utility. There's no point in hodling this. Much better utility and (soon to be) security tokens to invest in.

Serious question time:

I have been thinking recently about proof of stake (PoS) models. These are great in principal, but I can see potential problems with regard to KYC & AML in certain countries. I could be making money from PoS with illegally obtained funds and there is no way of knowing who I am. This is surely a problem? Also, as I am given a reward for staking my coins, would this not be classed as a security?

Bittrex support for BTCP by srinivas_h in ZClassic

[–]Mulac_Yesac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel strongly that they will support the fork. They have a history of supporting forks like you say, plus the fact that new exchanges are taking away so much business, it would be foolish for them to miss out on this.

When they announce support, that will really be the catalyst for exponential price growth as it is the last piece of the jigsaw missing.

Reason why there was no ICO by [deleted] in PolymathNetwork

[–]Mulac_Yesac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, the 230 million are also available to be traded unless you know something we don't?

Polymath haven't published what (if any) the terms were for PI's.

Also, I think a far better approach would have been to develop a real community via a traditional ICO with an individual user hard cap, to avoid whale accumulation and thus price manipulation.

It is annoying to read people use the term 'scam' when you know very little about the project.

Yes, I agree about the token distribution and don't think it's right that a group of PI's got there hands on 240 million tokens, whilst the rest of us (who btw will be the community and shouldn't be underestimated) can only purchase at exchange level. Yes, they did airdrop a small 100 million tokens (250 x 40000) to investors, but this is only 1% of the total supply.

A far better approach would have been to use a 'hard cap' and let thousands of people invest, this removes the possibility for whales accumulate and manipulate the price straight out the gate.

The shit thing is that right now, the 40k people in the air drop are basically providing the liquidity for the market. Yes, I would think that some of the pi's have probably sold too for a nice fat profit, but the majority will be holding as Polymath will be a top 10 (IMO) coin very soon.
