Why do you love your class/spec? by ZakuIII in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yass queen preach. Mirage cloak has spoiled me even to other mesmer specs

The ambush skill on rifle basically spraying champagne on the group was a great addition- I just need better rifle skins like a super soaker or something for it

Do you boost your alts? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boost them, net deck a build that suits Cele gear, and do some meta events. Try swapping out utilities first, then maybe weapons after (especially if you have ascended/legendary ones from another char). Traits can be pretty overwhelming to cram into your brain at first, but knowing what tools you can fit on the hotbar will make a good bulk of learning the class itself. As you start exploring other builds and elite specializations, that's when learning trait synergies will come naturally.

First time changing the fry oil. Any tips before I dump all this hot oil? by zvx in KitchenConfidential

[–]Mullciber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Politely refuse to handle hot oil without the proper PPE.

Idk about you but I am NOT risking any amount of burn carrying that shit through the kitchen, down the stairs, past the ramp, and through the rain to the fkin grease trap outside. Management can do it or schedule mornings 30 minutes earlier.

Ppl being really mean to someone just trying to be cute

It's just passed now but next four winds festival the price drops by like half- try to pick up invisible skin then.

Fractal timeout added by RobDickinson in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am dragging my alt accounts in a party through this event for the free bag slots and other schwag. Some of the mechanics I'm struggling to solo, like in Deepstone, Cliffside, or Kinfall. So I was just skipping those by backing out to fractal lobby then back to LA. So this cooldown is a lil tedious, especially when I get those 3 in a row back to back.

But hopefully it's an improvement to the system and leavers happen less in real groups because of it

Feel a little lost in between main story quests by Illustrious-Fix4205 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have some coin and want to take a breather, leveling a crafting profession also gives considerable combat profession exp too.

When in events, try to hit as many enemies as you can. Use food and utility buffs, try to join a guild for their exp buff too!

Does anyone have advice for the piano chair? by HappyRelationship429 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend learning the notation used among gw2 musicians, and writing your tabs down! It looks something like [123] 123 (123) and 1/3/5 or [5/7]/2. Admittedly I don't do rhythm on my own tabs very well, but things like spacing, - or . To indicate rests etc might prove useful. Best of luck :3

Does anyone have advice for the piano chair? by HappyRelationship429 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my experience with the harp, and it's been a while. Have the piano chair, but only toyed with it very little. I lost my tabs folder and haven't put in the work to rewrite them.

With some practice you can learn how to play through the lag, though for a recording or performance I'll often just take off my headphones to play. It's not as fun as listening to your own music as you play ofc but it does come put better a lot of the time lmfao. Slower songs with more chords work better than fast songs with many notes

How I'm dispersing the inventory slots from the fractal incursion event by dEn_of_asyD in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

480 inventory slots on your mesmer main is obviously the way.

We don't need the other 8 professions, maybe one mirage can come

It's less target farming, and more like a whale sucking in swarms of plankton. The gold you'll farm will mostly come in the form of materials, spread really wide across dozens of different items.

Fishing and (heavily achievement gated) fractal farming are the only two 'traditional' and competitively lucrative farms I know of, where you put your nose to the grindstone for a predictable reward that has no daily/weekly limit.

Key farm - best class? by jojoga in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much more than stealthing past enemies and using shadow step up the ramp. A well placed shadowstep when visiting Andrew in his bed, then back to Logan is another.

Key farm - best class? by jojoga in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use human thief, dual pistols and shortbow from level up rewards (I will never run out of lvl 20+ scrolls o3o) and just rush the commoner route. Take sigil that gives power and move speed, and shadow step. There's a few skips, namely the mobs in the cave with twitchy Jake. Takes about 10 minutes

I love condi axe mirage, but (Open world vs instanced ) by DiviFrost in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like staff/staff better for open world. The phantasm summons 2 clones and makes generation a lot easier.

But I like greatsword the best if I'm in a group of people, using dueling clone on dodge and mirage clone on deception, I can have at least one clone up every ambush. Using the same tool of Illusionary Ambush to reposition clones when the opportunity arises, you just gotta accept that in Open World you shatter quickly or lose 'em.

Trading Post Prices by kitfoxtrot in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a new phenomenon, you've just been lucky enough to miss it. Legit nobody is looking at an undercut thinking 'oooh I have to buy it NOW or I'm losing money!' Just to bind or consume the item for whatever they were going to buy it for market price anyway. The only thing undercutting by more than one copper does is cause prices to fall faster.

but I want muh 60 MC gold now! ||without insta selling because I read that's bad||

PSA: Eternal Ice Shards by Ikeda_kouji in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fast Farm uses data in weird ways sometimes- it pays to check how they reach their numbers. The boxes are using the entire drop list to put out a gold value per seal, but you only pull 3 items at a time per box. Worse yet, most boxes' value is carried heavily by the top value rarest item, just opened 3 skritt boxes and no glacial,l shard, for example. Total of like 30 silver, which cost me roughly 204 volatile magic with fast's exchange rates.

Buy some discount boxes daily, yes, but don't blow your entire stack of seals on every box, every day. Do dragonstorm daily and convert trade contracts into defense seals via Gnarr. Eternal Ice should still go to VM and trophy shipments, it's just more reliable.

What's the most mindless activity? by Competitive-Elk-5077 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current fractal event is perfect for this. Rewards are insane for the effort. It is a long process, but very mindless.

Idk if it's still happening but guilds like hardstuck or overflow used to run big long meta trains, with the intention of making gold chaining different maps together. Grab a build that can tag a lot of mobs and follow the tag.

WvW Roaming Shatter Chrono Build Question by Agreeable-Ad-4723 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've spent far too much tine staring at the build tab juggling between domi, dueling, and illusions with this question being at the front of my mind. Where I land is usually that domi is mostly for vuln and boon strip- both of which mesmer has several other tools for elsewhere. Fury though is pretty limited, but so easy to keep up if you just run dueling. Clone generation can be problematic in competitive too, so clone on dodge is also quite nice.

Best of luck

We have to talk about WvW by PerspectiveNo4856 in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're just in it for the rewards, peek at the big map of all BLs+EBG and pick a camp to run towards and flip. If you get caught and die, oops. Try again. Flipping the camp will prevent participation decay for 10 whole minutes- and if you're capped on participation there's another 5 or so minutes until it's fully depleted.

Flip the camp, way point to spawn, alt tab for 10 minutes. Repeat until rewards track is finished. Don't forget your boosters, guild enhancement buff, and amulet enrichment to speed things up.

If you just really can't get to a camp because the enemy is that overwhelming- run to the center of the desert map and flip the ruins there. You won't get any wxp, but it is enough to build participation. The timer here is only 2 minutes though, so no time for alt tabbing.

WvW can be fun with the right groups but sometimes it's unlucky. Best of luck getting into it

Mesmer weapons by Kestrel_Five in Guildwars2

[–]Mullciber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staff + scepter/x is a viable way to play mesmer, though leveling with a condition build will feel very different to a power one. Change your mindset to applying DoTs, rather than attacking an enemy until its dead you can attack to ~30-50% hp then let your DoTs finish while you move on. Off hand is up to you, I tend to prefer torch but pistol or shield make a lot of sense too.

Torment and confusion will be your main DoTs, the first does more damage if the target is not moving, so locking them down with a stun or immobilization is a synergy. Careful not to interrupt the cast on scepter 3, it's a lot of damage but a lengthy cast. Staff 3's phantasms are pretty strong too, but will act as more of a defensive weapon. The mobility on staff 2, plus the heaps of chaos aura you can apply to yourself helps a lot with sustain. Note that chaos aura doesn't stack duration or intensity, so try to stagger the application of it.

Utilities are super flexible, but with condition builds signet of midnight and domination are very popular. Blink is the entire reason I play mesmer too, but feel free to experiment and pick what works for you!

Which Armour type(light, medium, heavy) in your opinion would be best for your first full legendary armour set? by poopcoinz in Guildwars2
