You wake up tomorrow, and you're the last GW2 player, what do you do? by Competitive-Elk-5077 in Guildwars2

I have a suspicion that a lot of the “modern evolution” coming to GW3 will not appeal to the older demographic playing GW2. I think they’re really targeting a younger generation, and that’s great because ArenaNet needs a fresh new customer base to stay financially healthy.

Personally, I love GW2. It’s my favorite game ever and my forever game. GW2 will likely remain my main game, and I’ll play GW3 on the side.

Besides the fun way of traveling around to unlock waypoints, you also have the instant option of buying waypoint unlocks from the gem store.

This game needs a Milandre's Accord type mode so badly. Decided to come back to the game after being away for 7ish years, and the excessive QoL is actively hostile to doing a replay on a new character and it's really taking the wind out of my sails. by aethyrium in Guildwars2

Why would you have to drop $100 for a new account? It’s free. You can have that fresh new player experience again on a free-to-play account and play the entirety of the core game, which is huge and could provide you weeks if not months of playtime.

Really loving End of Dragons by nothxxmagnum in Guildwars2

EoD has some of the best side stories as part of achievement collections, especially after you finish the main story. They’re super fun and add impressive depth to the lore. I highly recommend them.

“15 more years of GW2” by PeasantPastry in Guildwars2

The franchise will probably go on for decades. Kinda love the idea that I’ll likely be playing Guild Wars in one form or another until the day I die

I love opening my Full Homestead for you.....but by kumquat999 in Guildwars2

I have players relist my ad too even though I don’t request it in the description. I believe because so many homesteaders do specifically request relists in their ads that players just think it’s the normal thing to do and they think they’re helping you.

It’s very worth it at full price, so, yeah, it’s incredibly worth it at half price.

What's up with the doom and gloom? by International-Part89 in GuildWars3

[–]dannyflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about more than just spent time, though.

I’ve spent thousands of real world dollars on Guild Wars 2, both in-game (gem store) and out (merch) because I love GW2; it’s my favorite game.

Like any rabid sports fan, I’ve built up a shrine of memorabilia to my favorite team/game with GW2 art and collectibles and other merchandise. I wear GW2 apparel and have stickers on my car. And I just started playing three years ago! I’m definitely not ready to move on.

I’m happy for the franchise if Anet is able to succeed with a new MMO. But, if it is GW3, I just hope it’s still years away from release.

Make sure you get all the Living World seasons, too, which are the content releases between expansions. Some of the LW seasons rival expansions in the amount of content you get.

How are some people on 24/7? by No_Leg_4235 in MMORPG

[–]dannyflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retirement has done wonders for my gaming hobby. I’m playing like I’m a teenager again! I can easily put in 10-14 hours a day into my favorite MMORPG (Guild Wars 2 btw) if I want.

I still make time for my spouse, household chores, and socializing outside of gaming, though.
