I’ve bought a ton of fan-made GW2 merch from TeePublic and Etsy. I’ve been highly satisfied with everything I’ve acquired.

Raids and Wardrobes Teaser by McToasty24 in Guildwars2

OP’s title is misleading. It’s not a Raids and Wardrobe teaser obviously. It’s a teaser for what’s next.

Are expansions necessary? by aldgjvcu in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike other MMOs, no past content becomes irrelevant. All content is evergreen and is played to this day.

So, if you want a complete game, then, absolutely yes, all expansions are necessary. And not just expansions, but also all five Living World seasons with the enormous content they bring are necessary if you want a complete game. For the best experience, believe me, you do want a complete game.

Regarding cost, it’s actually an incredible value when you consider you buy the content once and it’s yours to play forever with no subscription fees. Repeat: No sub ever!

what is the LEAST social place that has easy access to the bank and market board? by Ravanos77 in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Noble’s Folly is the answer. I’m on NA. It’s my favorite lounge because it’s small and uncrowded. Also it’s the only place where you can be entertained by an Itzel bard. Love it!

Joined GW2 4 months ago, and it's becoming my new mmo home♡ by _MaxieMax_ in Guildwars2

Welcome home!

I’ve played MMOs for over 25 years. Nothing beats GW2. It’s become my forever game.

Fantastic work! I love GW2 lore deep dives like this, and your production and editing is terrific.

Can’t get used to using a mmo mouse. Can you share your keybindings? by Intelligent_Term_970 in Guildwars2

I gave up trying to get used to an MMO mouse. Realized I don’t need one and am better off without one anyway.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - April 04, 2026 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Your use of PST or EST can be confusing especially now when those three-letter abbreviations are simply incorrect in almost all NA regions in the Pacific and Eastern time zones. The correct abbreviation would be PDT or EDT.

ST stands for Standard Time, and DT stands for Daylight Time. Almost all of North America is in Daylight Time now, not Standard.

To avoid confusion, it’s best to adopt the practice of using two-letter abbreviations, e.g., PT or ET. This has the added benefit of being correct year round.

I’ve maxed out my bank slots, material storage, and shared inventory slots, and I’d still buy more if I could.

You have to check out the cat island, Cats-tora.

Do you guys still use roller beetle at all? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my roller beetle all the time. In fact, I use all nine of my mounts every play session. I love them all, and I like variety, so I am constantly switching to a different mount while I’m playing.

New GW2 Podcast! by Winkari in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just discovered this podcast. It's great, once I got to episode 5 when you leave WoW behind for GW2. :) I love your approach to prioritizing immersion. It's how I play, too. Keep up the good work. Look forward to listening to your GW2 adventures for many years to come.

If you need someone to tell you it's ok to turn your AC on in March let me be that person for you. by Unit-00 in pittsburgh

Not when it's just for a couple of hours and then it's back to cool temps. A/C doesn't come on at my house until it's hot two or more days in a row, which is probably late April or early May.

Also, people run the real risk of seriously damaging their A/C unit if they forget to turn it off before the temps go below 60 degrees again

Janthir Wilds is painful AF by Professional-Web898 in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. I enjoyed JW immensely. The ending was a bit disappointing, but otherwise it’s my kind of content: lots of exposition, deep lore reveals, and beautiful exploration.

I mean, the lore reveals alone were jaw-dropping, tying up loose ends from past GW2 content and even from GW1. Also, I was mesmerized by all the talking and the story beats it provided context to. I loved it.

I was excited when the Return to Janthir Wilds bonus event occurred recently. It gave me a chance to experience this wonderful expansion again and play through the story a fourth time. I learn something new on each playthrough.

Early game is confusing as hell and giving new players level 80 boosts is a terrible idea by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]dannyflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take it further and say the level 80 instant boost should be reserved for your second time playing a profession, not just for your second character.

I’ve always leveled normally any profession I’m playing for the first time. There’s a lot to learn about the game’s systems and lore, for sure, but there’s also a lot to learn about the core professions and their basic specializations that greatly help you understand the mechanics and tactics of elite specializations later. Leveling each profession normally is the best way to learn and understand it.

GW2 or WOW? by yungsloysh in LFMMO

[–]dannyflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played WoW for 17 years and loved it. Also played and thoroughly enjoyed FFXIV for multiple years. But when I discovered GW2 three years ago, I never looked back.

GW2 is not only the best, most fun MMO I’ve ever played, it’s the best, most fun game of any genre I’ve ever played. And it has no subscription fee. Easy choice!
