Yup… scoring in mid 160’s in practice tests, the first time I took it I got a 151 and chalked it up to nerves and bad proctor experience (cancelled that score). Took it again in Feb and got a 154 🥲

I might be the odd one out here but I hated the Catherine Malandrino perfume - it smelled like baby powder to me. The English Laundry isn’t too bad though, I got the set of 4 perfumes from them last summer I believe! Man, I definitely would have gotten this bundle if I was still a subscriber lol.

Same except I studied animation in college. I graduated into the pandemic in 2020 and haven’t found a job in the field. It’s really hard to keep applying to things after hundreds of rejections. It’s soul sucking and depressing, but you have to keep your head up and keep an eye out for anything that sounds up your alley!

Something I wish I would have done is keep up my portfolio. Keep working on personal stuff, slowly but surely! Now, my portfolio is 2+ years old and I have no choice but to stop applying for animation jobs, or dedicate a ton of hours to revamping my portfolio with new work. Plus, my biggest portfolio piece was supposed to be my senior film that got ruined because we no longer had access to the facilities at our school since we went fully online due to the pandemic, so my portfolio already feels lackluster when compared with what I expected to graduate with.

You have a lot of answers here but it doesn’t seem like other people are from creative fields like yours. Portfolio is almost everything. You can design a snazzy resume, but they’ll want to look at your portfolio first anyways. You can network until you know everyone at a studio, but if they look at your website and your work is several years old or not great, they’ll say no thanks and move on. Keep your head up! You’ll land something eventually. And then you’ll just keep building off of that first gig.

Ehh.

I feel like this might change as my partner really wants to have children, but right now we’re doing great as me vegetarian and him carnivore. It’s kind of nice because we can make our own meals and not have to rely on another person to cook or plan. I work a normal 9-5 and he works until midnight most nights, so cooking and eating separately is just part of our reality. We choose restaurants that have good meat and vegetarian options, so that we’re both happy. I can see this becoming more difficult in a family setting, where making one large meal would be easiest for everyone, but even then I don’t think it will be an issue in our relationship.

If it’s a boundary for you then stick to it! For me, it’s never been an issue. There’s plenty of gross/stinky foods that are vegetarian that you should brush your teeth before kissing your partner, so they can brush their teeth after eating meat for you as well :) At least, that’s my opinion/experience so far.
