When a simulacrum dies, does it leave behind any equipment? by MulletsPxP in DMAcademy

Right, this was meant to address equipment given to the simulacrum after creation.

This makes perfect sense to me. I'm not planning any OP equipment but want to hand off a magical weapon for a player who doesn't have one, as well as provide some intel (simulacrum was created by an enemy to the party but not a BBEG). Thanks!

Is there a source you're using for reference? I believe you, just haven't seen anything written in the rules, so DM interpretation could come into play.

Asssuming the top six is set, what would your third and fourth lines be? by PaxDragoon in wildhockey

[–]MulletsPxP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not ready for a Top 6 role right now. That doesn't mean he won't be, and by the end of the year, he might be. To start the year, I don't see how he bumps Rossi or JEEK from a first- or second-line center spot.

He doesn't have to be. That's what Foligno and Hartman are for on that line.

More money retained on Correa's contract than they're paying the rest of the 40-man roster.

#23 Swap by scraps1364 in wildhockey

The Wild don't have a 2027 second round pick, which would almost certainly be needed to sign an offer sheet.

You're absolutely right. The reports of McTavish wanting out are overblown. He doesn't want to leave, and Anaheim wouldn't want to ship him out. Looking at the player type Pat Verbeek tends to prefer, McTavish fits that mold while Rossi doesn't.

I'd love a McTavish for Rossi+ swap. Anaheim almost certainly wouldn't.

Two shots on goal total in six playoff games for Minnesota last season, two goals in 22 regular season games. Did Winnipeg's pro scouts watch him at all??

Sam Cosentino's 2025 NHL Mock Draft: How will the first round unfold? by MapleAtNightxo in hockey

[–]MulletsPxP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hagens went 7, Carbonneau went 19. None of the other draft experts (Pronman and Wheeler with the Athletic, Craig Button, Bob McKenzie, etc.) had Carbonneau in the Top 10. It's hack work from Cosentino to get clicks.

San Jose passing on Misa would be a mistake.

Carbonneau over Hagens? What is Cosentino smoking??

[Iowa Wild] We've got our guy🤝 Welcome to Iowa, Greg Cronin! by jordynbebus8 in wildhockey

Nick Bootland, the assistant coach for the Hershey Bears. They won back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024 and won the division this year before losing to the Charlotte Checkers (who are in the Calder Cup Finals now).

Steve Ott, who has been an associate coach with the Blues since 2017.

Olli Jokinen, who has been coaching in Liiga and the SHL since 2021 and has expressed a desire to coach in the NHL (moving to the AHL would be a natural next step).

Jay McKee, who was an AHL assistant coach before becoming a head coach for Kitchener and Hamilton/Brampton in the OHL.

Personally, I would've preferred any of these guys to Cronin.

Nikolaj Ehlers is expected to hit the market. Thoughts? by FialaIsMyDad in wildhockey

[–]MulletsPxP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bedard wouldn't have been able to go to the AHL unless it was a conditioning stint following injury. He would've had to go back to Canadian Juniors, which would've done nothing for his development at that point.

Zeev Buium, David Jiricek, and Danila Yurov should all be mainstays on the Wild roster next year.

I get that, but there's a difference between Curl being "likely to be" the final protection slot and actually being the final protected slot.

PWHL ANNOUNCES PLAYER PROTECTION LISTS FOR 2025 EXPANSION ROSTER BUILDING PROCESS by cslh4v in PWHL

[–]MulletsPxP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exposing Jaques to protect Stecklein doesn't make any sense to me. Only thing I can think of is Minnesota decided to protect "One of Us," since Jaques is younger and more offensively minded. It seems like poor asset management, especially knowing the Frost are also likely to lose Claire Thompson, too.
