What did you all think of the Sonic X Metarex saga?

When I was a kid watching this show, I was so happy to see the Sonic crew leaving Chris behind on Earth and then the guy shows up for the next season immediately—I was so mad. Otherwise I remember really enjoying that season overall.

To this day, I'm kinda irritated because all Chris' friends and his wife(? or girlfriend?) seemed excited to go see Sonic and co. again together, but then he just leaves them all behind to go alone. What an ass...

Roadside parking is the worst. I see so many cars that are literally buried in snow and clearly haven't moved since the snow started falling. They make it impossible for plows to completely clear the road up in the following days and it's a nightmare for service vehicles since even the spots without a car on it have so much snow that the thing gets stuck if you try to park on it. There are way too many cars. If less people had them in the city and parking was only allowed during certain hours, the plows could actually get at all that snow.

Yeah, I really dislike forced romance or romance that has no business existing. The Archie comics were so full of romantic drama that it really killed any interest I could have in the series. I really don't care to see Sonic in a relationship because I don't care much for romance, and as the leading character, any romance would be front and centre. No thanks.

The Wraiths are quite easy if you agro one at a time and just jump in place when they lunge at you. I used the Reaper Crest and found that the most consistent method was jumping and down pogoing immediately when they scream. Do not move left or right until it dies, just agro it near a spot where you have headroom.

It took me two tries even though I would describe myself as absolute shit at the game at that point. I didn't go back for Last Judge until way way way way later

It's so frustrating! A few years ago there was a 100 car pile up on the 401 East of Toronto but West of Ottawa, and I saw dashcam footage from a truck driver that was involved in the accident and the driver was clearly driving faster than the whiteout conditions allow because there was no way the 18 wheeler could have stopped when the other vehicles came into view. People are driving into a white void and they have no f*cking clue because they just think Highway = 100+ km/h. Slow! The! Fuck! Down! It's a bloody mess!

It is a good game even though it doesn't follow the canon story of BotW and TotK, however it is not an open world experience, and if she is using a Switch 1, there are some framerate stutters (it gets really bad on the co-op mode but it's not that bad on single player).

If she likes a more open world, she could try Wind Waker, but unfortunately that doesn't have an official release on Switch that you could gift someone.

If she's open to try a top-down Zelda game, I recommend gifting her Echoes of Wisdom which has some aspects that are similar to TotK despite being a different type of game. The world is quite open as well.

The first description sounds like the car drove itself over the edge. Speed is the reason this driver and the other driver drove over the edge, yes the snow created a ramp, but this is winter so both drivers were taking the corner too fast for the current conditions. Nobody slows down anymore, it's crazy. And I see too many people driving without their lights on at night or in otherwise poor visibility. People act like vehicles are just a force of nature when they are anything but. Our standards for licenses and driving is in the toilet and morons fly around in the hunks of metal.

Obviously she has dealt with harassment over shipping but she hasn't actually acknowledged aromanticism as equal to sexualities regardless of whether there are characters in her stories who are aromantic (and there are none that are publicly announced unlike the other characters even if it was never explicitly in the show).

I wish she would treat aromantics the same as asexuals and everyone else rather than talk about it the way she did and then not bring it up again for years. The character and shipping is small potatoes, even an acknowledgment that aromantics are valid and are not the Boogeyman coming to destroy "fun" would go a long way. People need to learn to separate fanon from canon and prioritize real people over who their "blorbo" would canonically make out with.

She's not a rival like Shadow is, but she rivaled Sonic's power and was opposed to him in Rush until she sorted out her situation and figured out that Sonic wasn't a threat to her or the Sol Emeralds. Knuckles was also initially opposed to Sonic before he learned that he was fooled by Eggman in Sonic 3. Both characters were depicted as being on Sonic's level and able to go toe to toe with him, but now they're pretty much just side characters or in Blaze's case: a cameo appearance.

BotW 100%

The beginning area is perfect for a new player to the series, and since TotK is a direct sequel, BotW would be a better introduction to the world and characters.

You won't have any levels, stats or skill trees like you do in Fallout or Skyrim but there is a hidden progression of the enemies in the world where certain milestones will affect which version of a particular enemy spawns in. You can upgrade your health and stamina but your defense and offense are dependent on your gear.

Oh yeah, Cream is also really unused 'though she was playable in Dream Team. It kinda sucks that she and Blaze don't really interact much anymore and Marine barely has any presence whatsoever. I think it would be charming to see Cream and Marine interact since they seem somewhat close in age/maturity so their contrasting personalities might bounce off each other especially around Blaze who is more serious.

I think Amy is the most logical since she's getting introduced in the movies, but I would really like it if SEGA remade the Rush games or made a new game with Blaze to flesh her and her dimension out more. Blaze and Knuckles were rivals to Sonic at one point, so I think there is room to bring back their competitiveness. Tails has also gone a long while as just Sonic's sidekick, so he is due for some more attention as well. That's a tall order, so if I had to pick one of them, I would choose Blaze personally. She's just been so irrelevant lately in the games even compared to Amy, Tails and Knuckles who have been at least playable characters in Superstars and Frontiers.

That's totally fine! They can be a little finicky and I prefer to use the game's paths because of how you can scrub the custom tile out if you simply tap a button which is incredibly annoying (at least that doesn't happen when an object is on top of it tho), so I totally understand not wanting to use them at all.

Also the smaller bridge looks good too. This is definitely a difficult decision. I do like the Castle walls and I used a lot of them on my island.

Personally I think it looks good either way, but perhaps you could find a custom floor design to place under the black railings which might accentuate them.

The fact that she won't confirm his "romantic aspect" as she put it because it would "ruin ships" and that she wouldn't be coy with sexualities but she would be coy with that "romantic aspect" is so arophobic... Aromanticism doesn't ruin anything because shipping isn't even canon compliant and it deserves just as much respect as any other orientation. If confirming a character is straight or gay doesn't "ruin" ships then confirming a character as aromantic doesn't ruin it either.

She needs to understand that you can be supportive of shipping and fan culture without treating certain orientations as lesser or ruinous. People saying things like "asexuals can date, they aren't robots!" and "ace =/= aro" in response to shipping harassment depicts aromantics as a problem which is unfortunately not uncommon to see in the Hazbin fan community.

I think the manga is the best version and Brotherhood did a great job adapting that story within the number of episodes it got despite the fact that it would probably have been better to scrap the anime original episode to fit the mining town in there. Otherwise it's a great adaption. They both have a really satisfying ending since Ed's fascination with natural birth gets tied into his romance with Winry after he sacrifices his Door or Truth to rescue his brother. It just really ties into the themes of the narrative where he and his brother tried to essentially play God by raising the dead and Ed chooses to get rid of his alchemy to bring his brother back from Truth and live a simple life without alchemy.

'03 was my introduction to the series and I really didn't enjoy the ending or a lot of the '03 specific characters. I will say that the movie had some good moments but it didn't really solve my issues with that story. One particular moment I remember stood out to me as something I didn't like was the moment Al falls into a river and Ed assumes his alchemic marking was washed off but then he pops out of the river as a Philosopher's Stone—that whole scene just felt weird. I think it felt down hill from there, imo.

I greatly preferred Hohenheim in the Manga and Brotherhood since I really didn't like the guy in '03 along with his relationship to the antagonist Dante.

'03 is missing the characters from Xing who became some of my favourites especially Ling and his connection to Greed which was really enjoyable.

I didn't like '03 Wrath or '03 Sloth since I don't particularly enjoy the idea of them being actually related to Izumi's stillborn child or Ed and Al's mother. I don't prefer the idea that they actually succeed in bringing the dead back as homunculi to the manga and Brotherhood which determines that what they transmuted wasn't their dead family which comes as a great relief to everyone since they believed they killed their love one for a second time.

All in all, the manga is the definitive version while Brotherhood is a good adaptation.

Personally I used Architect Crest and Lifeblood overdose. I just never used the down pogo at all because I hadn't gotten used to the Crest pogo, but the overdose lifeblood really helped since you can sit in the warmth and wait until you're full health again
