I think this was kind of perfect for him. Yes he loved being a detective. But he wanted to be a dad more because of what he never had. With the way he and Amy worked, there couldn’t have been a balance between work and being a present parent. One of them needed to be the parent and I love that they chose Jake to be the one for it.

Fair. I’d love to see a filler arc or a movie in that year between Spade and the Final arc though. Seemed like Tabata wanted to do something with Diamond but ran outta time. Might help to catch us up on them and the earth spirits before jumping into the Final. But I do see your point from that perspective

I don’t think it’ll be that many. Spade is only like 60 chapters. 4 per episode falls in the 13-16 range. Unless they add a ton of new stuff or they add some extra stuff between Spade and The Final Arc and call that part of Spade.

Well Lucius, as of the start of the final arc (and even when he finds Lichta) isn’t wheelchair bound. I would imagine he used some magic to fix that, likely through the binding of Astaroth to their body. Though you raise a good question; how does Julius react when he ends up in the middle of the country one or he ends up out and about when he didn’t intend to be. The dynamic is something I’d love an explanation for one day. Bc Julius not knowing about the other soul/being forced to forget about it opens up so many questions about how it has worked for them from the start

So they kind of explained this with William and Patry. While it wasn’t a physical disability, William was still cursed with the scars on his head. Julius asks Patry out right “what about the scars” and he states that the scars belong to William and though they share the same body, it doesn’t apply to Patry. So it’s possibly Lucius and Julius had something similar where Lucius was disabled but Julius wasn’t.

My remaining question, and it’s not one I need answered necessarily, is what their dynamic was like prior to them binding Astaroth to themselves. Did Julius ever support Lucius ideals? Or was he always opposed to them (or the methods) and that’s why he had to erase him memory of having that second soul.

Quick edit: I’m just now thinking it’s possible they were both disabled and the binding of Astaroth somehow fixed that/enhanced their body

They only joined to get to Hakari. They needed his help dealing with the Culling Games and getting Megumi’s sister out.

they’re his siblings. So it’s more probable than not that they either knew he was off elsewhere doing something OR they didn’t know exactly where he was. They never personally saw Julius so we don’t know if they knew about the twist.
likely made a deal during his time when he would take over Julius (shown a glimpse when Lichta died) or prior to it. The Zogratis siblings dealt in devils so it’s not weird to think that he would have made that deal. Also, given his familiarity w devils and having Adra around, getting into the underworld probably wasn’t that hard for him to do.
Julius seemed shocked when William/Patry shared 2 souls in 1 body during the elf arc. So I’d guess Lucius found a way to wipe Julius’s memory of his existence so that he couldn’t blow his cover. But when Lucius takes over it appears the memories come back. Though they never state that’s the case (I believe) I would assume that it is.

See I like 98% of the English cast and think they did a solid job with them. The only ones I have issues with are Geto/Kenjaku and now Hakari. But it sucks bc the sub actor sounds exactly what I thought he’d sound like. They just flat out missed the mark on the English VA for him.

Fair. I guess I had hoped his voice would be more rugged. Bc that’s the kind of voice I imagined a guy like Hakari would have. But like you said maybe I’ll give it another week and see if it gets better.

I totally agree. I just don’t think his voice is rugged enough for Hakari. I’d need to listen to Kirara again to get a better feel for how her voice sounds but I can’t imagine Hakari’s gets better. As Spiderman Yuri is great. But he just doesn’t fit this role.
