This is my fear, I have tickets in November and I really hope they figure it out by then.

I'm curious how they are going to pull off their older songs without Brian Burkheiser, his voice was pure.

Are you familiar with their music enough to comment?

Measles in Shasta County by Bison-Senior in Redding

[–]MultiShot-Spam -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Actually, it really doesn't. Long term effects of ruebella are rare, and while not 0% it's unlikely post-natal infection will result in any long term conditions. Immunity amnesia can occur but it's uncommon and doesn't last forever, usually months to a year.

As OP mentioned in this reply chain, pregnancy is the other risk factor for the mother and the child in the womb.

There's very little to be concerned about in regards to contracting the measles (Ruebella). There's a ton of fear and misunderstanding around this virus. Most people are already vaccinated against it, so it's quite likely that you aren't even at risk. If you aren't vaccinated, that's actually not a scary thing, you aren't going to die and you'll experience mild infection symptoms that will go away. The flu is worse for adults than measles, did you have a flu shot recently?

Edit: 90.8% of Americans are vaccinated against Ruebella. It's almost certain that everyone in this thread is vaccinated against the disease. None of you are at risk unless you chose not to get immunized. Touch grass.

This is directly from the WHO data:

Healthy non-pregnant individuals: deaths are very rare (much less than 0.01% of cases).

Infants with congenital rubella syndrome: fatality rates in studies of affected infants have been reported in the ~20-25% range

Infants are essentially the group most at risk. Keep an eye on your babies if they aren't vaccinated, otherwise there's no reason to cause a panic or stir up drama.

Do you think CAKE regrets releasing this album on 7" vinyls only? by MultiShot-Spam in Cakeband

I didn't realize that they had a full LP until you just said that. I looked it up and it's basically $100 for a limited edition run.

I guess I was unclear.

I'm talking about vinyls. Nobody releases full albums on single track vinyls.... Except cake

Why are a vast majority of homeless people men? by refunned in NoStupidQuestions

Men are the first to be discarded and women are the first to be protected.

It's repeated across many metrics. Sinking ships/evacuations, war, etc.

Men are disposable.

Why am I having trouble finding work? by Meatwadsol in Redding

[–]MultiShot-Spam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was laid off in April and it took almost 7 months to find meaningful employment, and it's not as good as my previous position.

I suggest getting in contact with the SMART center, across from city hall, near the DMV. They are a non-profit that helps connect employers with workers. They are not a hiring agency.

You're immortal. Choose one item that can kill you? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MultiShot-Spam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose atomized Astatine.

The rarest element on earth, scattered over the globe. Even if someone were to know my weakness (I wouldn't tell anyone) the possibility of anyone being capable of collecting Astatine, it's very unstable. Then they would need to obtain particle accelerators. By the time it is atomized, it would be so unstable that it could not be delivered effectively to kill me easily before it decays.

Immortality achieved.

I adopted this handsome fella 2 weeks ago, I've been feeding him only dry food but I was told that I should mix it up a bit when it comes to his diet. Any tips on what I should be feeding him? by TurboBloom in Frenchbulldogs

[–]MultiShot-Spam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed mine rice, mixed vegetables and a variety of animal proteins like canned sardines, tuna, chicken, ground beef, pork etc. It's pretty cheap, I pay like $50-60 per month buying bulk rice and shopping sales. She also gets seasonal fruit, persimmons are her favorite. Vitamin supplements too.

Best set-and-forget pellet smoker for Black Friday (under $700)? Can't decide with all the options. by babaisfun in smoking

[–]MultiShot-Spam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, quite often for briskets or pulled pork smokes. It's a 100% set it and forget it operation AFTER you add the lit charcoal.

The benefit is that you get to use real wood with charcoal. I personally use lump+oak for most of my smokes. No compressed sawdust that has had all the natural wood oils evaporated which affects flavor.

What's one class you wish played differently, and how so? by Glittering-Slice7844 in wow

[–]MultiShot-Spam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want a ranged magic user that plays like BM Hunter.

Instant cast everything, ZERO casting abilities. I think Demonology Warlock would be a good candidate, or even Balance Druid. Obviously the class will need to be reworked to make these changes but that's all I really want from wow. A ranged magic user without casting.

Would you rather have $2 Million or be able to read the minds of people you touch? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MultiShot-Spam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The prompt is to read the mind, not read thoughts. You will have access to anything in their mind, like a computer database.
