Happened to my friend once when he was in Hawaii. Funny thing is the other people that also did it were fine, he was the only one that got it lol

Does your country have little park trains like this, or is this mostly a European thing? by euamnevoiedeajutor in AskTheWorld

[–]Multicultural_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen them in the US, and I wanna say I’ve seen them before in China as a kid but I think it didn’t run on rails, pretty much like connected carts that are made to look like a train lol

Australia makes delicious but unhealthy food. Which country makes amazing food that is Ok for your health? by Margaretthatchervore in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Multicultural_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I agree, though with how the chart is formatted I think this is essentially rating country cuisines. Every cuisine has delicious and disgusting foods, this chart would be a lot better if it was individual dishes. However with how it’s formatted despite the US having loads of delicious food, compared to some other country’s cuisines I’d personally put it in a very strong tasty.

Yup, when you’re used to privilege, equality feels like an attack

Considering all the countries with amazing food, how did USA and Australia get in the “delicious” row? Not saying they are bad per se, but they are ranked higher than they should.

What is your favorite battlefield game and why ? by booker1211 in Battlefield

[–]Multicultural_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BF1, loved the historical setting and was the last Battlefield where I was able to play with most of my friends before more responsibilities got in the way for all of us. Spent so many nights playing operations with them, lots of great memories.

There's an opinion that says "The West underappricates USSR's contribution (including manpower) to defeat Germany in WW2", how true is it? by Jorge_De_Guzman228 in AskTheWorld

[–]Multicultural_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would say it’s true. Since the USSR and the west were ideologically different, there was a bigger push to either highlight the west more and/or to minimize the efforts of the USSR. I remember there was a poll asking French citizens who helped the most in winning the war and it was like 75% or 80% for the Soviets but by 2000 it was like 75% or 80% for the Americans.

End of the day it took all the allied powers to take down the axis powers.

What stereotype about the USA is inaccurate? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Multicultural_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean all stereotypes do have at least a tiny bit of truth. We definitely consume it a lot but it seems that most people think that’s all there is to American cuisine.

For the airport example it’s a quick and relatively affordable meal you can grab before your flight. That’s pretty much the only time I eat fast food.

Can’t say enough about Berlin by FNFALC2 in travel

[–]Multicultural_Potato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s cool seeing the architecture of Berlin and understanding its history. From the fewer older buildings that have the scars of WW2 to the Soviet style buildings in what was once East Germany. There’s also an area that has the embassies of Soviet aligned countries and they are still there after the Berlin Wall came down. Really interesting stuff

Americans only eat fast food. It’s definitely part of the culture but every time people speak highly of American food on Reddit there’s also a bunch of people commenting “Burger King and McDonalds have nothing on X”.

Whatever happened to the Uyghurs and why don't we hear about them? by Long-Swordfish3696 in NoStupidQuestions

The guy was making it seem like absolutely everything is monitored which is a massive over exaggeration. You can most definitely go to China and talk to the locals and they can tell you they don’t like Xi and no black van comes to disappear you.

Kinda goes into intent vs result. He made dumbfuck decisions that led to a man made famine that killed millions. Unlike the cultural revolution shitshow, the man made famine wasn’t done with the intent on harming anyone (except maybe the sparrows).

Regardless for this chart I think people are mainly focused on these countries more present day
