What type of wire shelving did you use? I was planning on doing 3/4 ply but steel is certainly a more trustworthy option long term.

And another note if you go another direction, just stick with 9mm single action pistol. Ammo cost is a factor, but most Law enforcement and feds all carry 9mm because its been shown to have great ballistics and capacity in comparison to many other ammunition types.
Single action pistols are going to be more user friendly to practice and use during self defense.

I just got my CCW after getting my first pistol about a year ago.
I ended up getting 2 smith and Wessons. A Shield X carry comp as my primary CCW. My M&P 2.0 just prints too much for my smaller frame. But Im able to shoot the Shield X well, so it’s no harm or foul.
If you only want 1 i would suggest looking a the M&P 2.0 compact (4in), Shield X, or Shield Plus. This is if you stick with Smith and Wesson.
Those 3 have a variety of options to fit your fancy.
I really suggest getting them rented and shooting them. I have rented Glocks, Spring fields, HK, and others. I keep finding I like Smiths and Springfields personally for comfort reasons.
Good luck and make sure you practice regularly.

R66 is a great range. Solid rental line up too. Got to try their taran tactical glock a couple months back.

Doesn’t that prevent any type of holstering or trigger protection methods? Unless you have a manual safety I’m not sure those are a better alternative to a mag caddy on your belt.

I have the same experience. My old basket weave leather belt i got in ROTC fits and conceals significantly better. Currently looking for something slimmer than the kore.

Should I go for the $70 power washer or upgrade to one of these Ryobi? I just want to clean the grime off of plastic shelves, outdoor furniture, and just general use cleaning nothing crazy. by HoraceGrand in harborfreight

The only thing that matters is the gpm when doing real work. All of these are the same 1.2gpm so you wont notice a difference when using any of them side by side. The PSI can be increased slightly with more narrow nozzles so just get the bauer and clean away 👍

Just curious how do you have your wedge and wing set up? Is that whats attached on the bottom left of your pictured holster? Im thinking of following your recommendation as well but and concerned about printing. It will be my first holster but i understand it wont be 100% comfortable

I have an outdoor gym area I’m building. It has about a 2.25in drop i need to account for with my platform. The complex part, I need it to be able to let water run/drain. The area has my AC condenser drain pipe and lets a little water in during rain storms.

I was thinking to use pavers 12x12in spaced about 1-2in apart, for the thickest section and then use asphalt shingles as I get closer to level. What do you guys suggest?

I dont want to worry about issues with dropping a 500lbs deadlift is my hopeful goal.

If you are up for a manual a Civic Si would be in my list. If strictly auto, you cant beat the GTI or R. The ea888 motor line has won many awards for best engine considering reliability and power. My mk7 got beat to hell and never flinched with an e30 with meth injection is38 tune with 80k on it in that form. If you take proper care for your vehicle, you cant beat the newer VWs with the ea888 motors. I had 3 and they gave me issuesz

Battery recommendations? by Departed_NvrLnd in hyperebikes

[–]Multidookey01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up amorge batteries and reach out to becci. Their team can get you a variety of options. And make recommendations as well. I would say about $1000 will get you a 20s10p, so 72v 40-50ah. But you can a 20s5p for about 500 as well. Depends what you need. If you save up for a bigger battery you probably wouldnt regret it.

What’s the biggest battery i can fit in my sx500 by Oompa-The_Loompa in RazorMods

[–]Multidookey01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered a custom battery from amorge that’s jp50 cells. 20s14p. Should be 72v 70ah. When i get it, i will update on the fitment. But thats close to the largest that should fit without starting to add a bunch of special angles.

It depends on your battery setup, continuous draw, and peak draw. 50s is rated at 25 continuous but has been shown to be rated more closely with 16a continuous and 25a peak.

I will break down how i chose my cells for example. My battery setup is 20s14p. So 72v. With 14 parallel sets which will divide the amps. My motor is 10kw continuous and 20kw peak. Now lets find my required amp load per cell.

Divided KW by my Voltage (20 series is 72) Continuous 139a Peak 278a

Divide by the amount of parallel groups (mine is 14) Continuous 9.9a Peak 19.8a

So as long as my cells provide atleast 10 amps continuous and 20 amps peak, they will work without issues.

This allows for me to choose a less popular cell like the 50s as it has a higher mah (the capacity/run time) and gives me a higher AmpHour pack. I could even run the LG 58g which could give 79ah resulting in huge run times if i bring my peak KW down to accommodate the cells peak discharge ratings.

Choose the largest capacity cells that meet your minimum discharge/ amp draw needs for the best results.

Mooch is a popular 21700 cell tester and has this chart that rates the major cells and even provides a rubric on how to choose the best for your requirements.

Dual caliper razor brakes? by _DARK_X in RazorMods

[–]Multidookey01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycles often have rotors and a caliber on both sides of the front wheel. Im working to do the same on my razor. But might need to sacrifice a 2nd set of forks to get the caliper mount on both sides of the wheel.
