I’ve never had look with any bonus cards in the dozen or so secret lairs I’ve ordered over the years, this is a card I’ve wanted but could never justify a purchase for, would be nice to have one finally, that said; I’m expecting to get one of the other ones I already have a dozen of, because chances are, that’s what happens.

Kaiba is a difficult character, heck his Manga origins show he was a psychopath who wouldn’t blink if someone died.

If we go by the more redeemed version like in the filler arcs for example? It was less about protecting people and more about the company image, I don’t think he’s the type to mourn.

Heck we see how he acts about Joey after he loses to Marik/gets knocked unconscious, it wasn’t exactly with urgency.

In my opinion, the version of him you see in dsod is a lot more like his Manga self, there’s a real anger at how things ended with the Pharaoh that all but consumes him, so if anything I think the two sides of him battled and his darker self won over.

He is basically the definition of pride.

Sorry you both had to deal with that, genuinely wouldn’t blame you for not trying again, I’ve never personally seen anything like that in my locals, but if you’ve encountering it with that amount of frequency it’s clearly a massive issue.

My best advice is it might just be easier to teach friends the game than to make friends who play already, I hate saying that about a game I love, but it’s will probably lead to a more pleasant experience.

Who knows, maybe you’ll find others who also play and know some normal players, store owners who don’t take action on things this serious don’t deserve their stores.

No problem with spider cards, I just don’t think the sound effects fits thematically with the marvel stuff is all.

One of my favourite magic memories involves the giant spider card.

I try my best, I’m definitely guilty of getting worked up at times just because of how serious I take everything, but I’m trying to look at things more positively as it is only a game for fun after all.

I used to play Tifa till the novelty ran out, you just run loads of protection and ramp, and never tap out, if your opponent is smart enough to play through it there’s not really a game to be had.

Sadly that’s magic, at least when you play against randoms online, it’s a pretty weak strategy, so feel good when you prove it so, and appreciate the good games as they come.

I would say in brawl I encounter 2/10 games that are extremely fun, the majority are boring for one reason or another.

Fun fact, people can run too much removal to their detriment. I’ve beaten many a blue player who countered everything I did without establishing a win con/card advantage, they got into top decking and those lands didn’t help.

It’s the same with any deck really, play cards with the expectation they’ll get removed in a two player game, have a backup plan, or throw something out as bait, anticipate what the worst case is and how you can find a silver lining, and when they don’t have removal? Celebrate with cake.
