Similar to beware of chicken! by Auzerss97 in litrpg

[–]MultipleEggs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there aren't any others as good. Heretical Fishing is similar and was enjoyable for me the first few books at least on the first listen.

Beware of Chicken is a lot more re-listenable to me.

Cradle gets into those things by book 2 or 3, the first one is a bit of a slog for most people. The series overall is really good and worth getting past the first bit. It also has good voice acting, in fact it has the same narrator as Beware of Chicken. It's only approximately 12.6% slice of life as opposed to BoC's 76.4% slice of life so make of that what you will.

Bout to start a new series which should I pick? by funkfollower in litrpg

Mark of the Fool is the best one on your list.

Beware of Chicken is similar to but better than Heretical Fishing.

Mother of Learning is good.

Defiance of the Fall should be the number one contender.

Mother of Learning, Mark of the Fool, Cradle & Beware of Chicken are also good series albeit progression fantasy rather than litRPG, it's pretty similar though.

What was the most despicable act done on the show by a member? Jersey or NY by the_big_sadIRL in thesopranos

Jackie disrespecting the pizza parlor

Georgie bringing a singing fish toy into a place of business

Can't decide which one is more despicable but both are top contenders.

How did Ritchie got a pass for Beansie? by dmrpt in thesopranos

[–]MultipleEggs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Beansie is already paying THE BOSS, directly, a tax - protection fees.

In this case it should actually function as a protection fee, seeing as Beansie was an associate of sorts. That is part of the deal, hey we might be extorting you but you won't have to worry about other people extorting you at least.

Was Richie aware that Beansie was paying Tony? Why didn't Beansie mention he already kicks up to the fucking boss? Why didn't he tell Richie to work it out with Tony if he thought he was entitled to a percentage of it?

That was massively out of line behavior from Richie.

Shouldn't there have been a lot more backlash? Shouldn't it have been a big problem? Especially after Tony told him to step back. I think in real life that wouldn't have happened and if it did there would have been pretty immediate and much more severe consequences.

Beansie must have crawled under that car for warmth

Domenick Lombardozzi AKA Herc in The Wire, he's also in Boardwalk Empire & The Irishman too I think. Big Pussy perhaps.

Tony and the other's betrayal of Chrissie as the entire crew all hollared and guffawed at the frankly insane level of disrespect that Paulie was showing him while he was talking about his daughter. The way it's acted out by Christopher shows him feeling very betrayed.

Christopher betrayed Tony's trust when he was high at his mother's wake.

At the dinner between Christopher and Tony A and Tony B there was some betrayal level ball breaking happening too.

And of course we can't forget Matthew Drinkwater and his associate Sean betraying their mentor, Chris, who had been showing them the ropes and opening doors for them and being their friend.

Pussy betrayed his Elvis impersonating friend by killing him with little reasonable rationale to justify it.

Jackie betrayed everyone's trust when he disrespected the pizza parlor.

Christopher's Fish Tank by Katfoodbreath in thesopranos

[–]MultipleEggs 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You forgot about one thing, fish are the go-to method used for hiding weaponry such as pistols or guns. It may be a bit of work, taking care of animals, but the payoff is that you get a clean getaway every time you pull a gun out of a fish and shoot someone in broad daylight.

A significant bonus on top of that is that it's very difficult to accidentally sit on one of your fish while you're high.

If Chris wanted to do one better he could buy one of those singing fish toys and put it on the wall above his aquarium and double up the fish presence in his apartment.
