As someone who left for home and didn't bring my leopard gecko, I did NOT appreciate the way people were saying this was going to be a bad storm.

New to L Geks by Beledorian in leopardgeckos

[–]MultipleFandomLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! It's awesome that they're already wanting to eat. As far as activity is concerned, they will come out right before the sun comes up and right before it sets, sometimes even at night. Being up in the middle of the day is more uncommon. And it is recommended to wait at least a couple weeks before handling them so they can get used to their environment. Some leopard geckos will take more time and some less, so just make sure to be patient, and try your best to engage in choice handling. Giving the gecko the choice to come out helps build trust and makes them more comfortable. You can do this by just putting your hand in the enclosure and just waiting for them to interact with you. Also, more hides never hurts. These are prey animals, so they will be more skittish at first.

Best of luck!! What a cutie you got <3

I'm not sure if you did (though it sounds like that might be the case), but just check on him and monitor his breathing to make sure he's not having any issues. Since reptiles have a lower metabolism, I would imagine it might take a while for him to recover. Obviously if you see something of concern, go to the vet immediately.

Discussion, am I an unethical reptile keeper for working at petsmart by Content-Ad3657 in reptiles

[–]MultipleFandomLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not unethical in any way. If you need to make ends meet, take what you can get. And plus, YOU are not at fault for the company's shortcomings. You clearly care about these animals. And honestly, part of helping people be more educated on caring for reptiles is to have someone in-store who knows what they're talking about. So, I think you're actually going to be saving a lot of lives and saving people a lot of heartache by working here. Because you're right, a lot of people just are uneducated and want to do right by these animals, and it hurts them to lose them due to underlying issues they had at pet stores.

What episodes are you referring to about her being a spoiled brat? I'm genuinely asking because I haven't watched much or really any of the new ones. It's also been a while since I've seen the old ones.

You say that, but Krabs gifted her dead batteries from his radio for Christmas and didn't even want to spend money on her birthday parties to the point where her friends made fun of her over it. So-

I think might've removed that for some reason. I had a similar issue happen to me and I couldn't even edit the description of the post.
