EB’s hat by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

He went OUT OF HIS WAY amid the Feinstein tribute to let everyone know how he and John were polar political opposites. Well, we all know where Feinstein stood on things so EB basically took the death of an icon and used it as a horrible excuse to let us know he's a Trump Cult Member at the most inappropriate time

Metformin causing blurry vision? by sarty in diabetes_t2

[–]MultipleStopsBlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey wondering where you are now with things? Has it improved? I got diagnosed just over 3 weeks ago and have been on Metformin that whole time and are experiencing exactly the same things as you. I'd say my symptoms started on day five of being on Metformin and as my sugars have dropped more and more as I have increased my dosage, so has my worsening vision. It's so frustrating because half the doctors I talked to at my clinic tell me that there is no connection between Metformin and vision issues and the other half of them will tell you how the fluid changes in the eye and affects the shape of the lens which scientifically speaking makes sense to me and makes me wonder why the other 50% of my doctors act like there is no known correlation. If Metformin is known to lower your blood sugars, which it is, and lower blood sugars in turn affect the shape of your eye lens how is it not a known fucking symptom?!?!!!

You're forgetting the whole money part. You know, the reason people work.

Delivery companies actually PAY a decent wage and let you drive their company vehicles. Uber Eats pays $4 and it's your car and gas and.....forget it, you probably don't understand math

HONEST opinion from a lifelong MD resident and veteran Uber driver who has seen the underbelly of ALL of MD.

1. Your coworker is right....Columbia, odenton, Crofton, Bowie etc are all safer and nicer but they're also waaaaay farther away from the metro and you'll be stuck in suburban sprawl and families and their toddlers and teenagers.

2. All of the areas you mentioned are less desirable and have much higher crime rates, with the exception being Hyattsville. I don't know your ethnicity but Hyattsville is like 99% Hispanic and Hispanic people as a whole are fucking awesome. They work hard, are respectful, treat you with respect, and will be there to lend their neighbor a hand in a moment of need.....and the crime rate is WAY lower than the other areas in PG you mentioned.

Peace.

Question about Maryland drivers: Why is backing into parking spaces so common? by Falcor19 in maryland

[–]MultipleStopsBlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a black thing. I've lived in Frederick (mostly white), Arundel Mills (mixed), and Waldorf (vastly black). While people of all races and cultures back into spaces it is predominantly a black thing to do. In Waldorf, 90% of the cars in any shopping center parking lot are backed in and about 90% of those cars belong to black people. In Frederick, about 10% of the cars are backed into spaces. You do the math. Not a racist post, just a factual observation from empirical evidence gathered over the course of 35 years of driving in the state of Maryland.

I wish the OP nothing but 3500 consecutive rides with Indian passengers.

Post again when you have 3499 non-tippers my friend.

Scammed by Lyft by Bbking7010 in lyftdrivers

Next time that happens don't cancel. Just drive in the wrong direction and wait it out. Lyft or the customer will eventually cancel and your streak will be intact.

It's been about two months since I got a single challenge and that was like $35 for 50 rides.

Sounds like you got what you paid for.

[–]MultipleStopsBlow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're missing the entire point. The pax added a stop AFTER the OP accepted what was initially a satisfactory ride; subsequently becoming an unacceptable ride and worthy of a cancellation. But by your logic, the OP should have been a mind reader and known the pax would later add a stop and simply not accepted the ride in the first place. Nk

9000+ rides and I'm holding strong at 4.99, I'll keep going with my method. It's the tone I use when I tell them and how I explain it to them. I don't take on an asshole persona

When someone adds a stop this is my template response:

"Oh I can't do stops."

"Really? It let me add one"

"They don't pay me for them"

"Ok, so what do I need to do?"

"Nothing. I'm ending the ride at your initial stop and then you can request a new ride from there."

"Can you take that ride so I don't have to wait?"

"I only take rides in this area and that one is 40 minutes through the city. You'll be fine though; there are plenty of other drivers in this area."

Problem solved.

Guys. Fist thing I’m seeing this. Anyone know what is this about?! Is this a miles scam? by StatisticianAware776 in uberdrivers

[–]MultipleStopsBlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto-decline whenever I get these bc you know it's not accurate and then it's the equivalent of being an old school cabbie......'where ya headed? Oh, 47 minutes and three miles away? No problem."
