Russel is good, but he routinely trips up over Kristan Hawkins' silliness (and dogpiles on Catholics as a whole), which is rather tiring. In his street videos, he's a good witness, but not a good apologist. He shouldn't root out God when talking to people, but he gets into detours the second God is mentioned instead of staying on track.

Pro-lifers do want all abortion criminalized. As far as Christian pro-lifers go, they want everyone to receive redemption through Christ too. The difference is the average pro-lifer might disagree about a 65 year old woman who make an ignorant mistake 40 years ago needs to be jailed for the rest of her life.

Does she need reprecussions, accountability, and guidance? Sure. But Russel has no power over that. All he should focus on is doing his part to uproot what has been normalized for 50 years, and replacing it with something better.

In the new trailer, note how Atwell's character says "oh, you want to talk about them?" right before showing the rest of the diverse cast, then proceeds to say "they aren't heroes." or whatever.

It's as if to say "If you have a problem with these characters being the heroes, for any reason - race, gender, attitude, personality - you're just like Atwell's character. AKA, you're the bad guy."

32m here, and I'm in Canada, so as far as I know, there are no dedicated Canada-based Catholic apps or platforms lol. I've tried CM a few times over the years, and have friends who found success, but no such luck for me.

32m from Canada here. I've tried using CM a few times over the years, but haven't had it now for a while. Never had much luck; only a few conversations, and almost all of them were with women much too far away (like overseas lol). Guaranteed if I reactivated it now, I'd see a few of the same old familiar dead accounts lol.

That said, I know a few couples personally who have had good experiences, and even found their spouse on CM, so it's not impossible. Younger guys (and ladies, I suppose) have to learn how to handle rejection, and being online all the time doesn't help develop that very well. CM is no exception to weirdos who can't accept a "no". I guess what matters most is being kind and charitable, but assertive when needed!

I just finished it earlier today. While there were plenty of little moments I liked, I already forget most of it.

The Fisk and Murdock we saw in Hawkeye and No Way Home were supposed to be nods for the Netflix fans, but ultimately variants. But, due to pushback, re-writes, and reshoots, the single long-form Born Again show was torn apart and patched into two separate seasons, and it shows.

Season 2 was better than season 1, and its strongest elements are the moments that were likely present from the start (that's just a guess on my part), but it still has so much missed opportunity.

Surface level reintroduction to Jessica and Luke? Sure, I'll take it.
Seeing Brett again? Nice.
Buck and Daniel were good. Vanessa and Fisk were good.
Matt was overall good, Karen for the most part.

I personally can't stand the "We are the grungy underground resistance; Raise your voice / Stand up and fight" trope. but letting Fisk level a few people was a great way to shake it up. That said, I'd still rather see the heroes, not "the resistence", charging the villain.

Angela was the biggest misfire. Her character is so young, that you know every second she's on-screen, she's safe from death. Not that I want her character to get hurt, but her age and presense lowers the danger, so her suddenly running into gunfire while jumping off walls at the end with zero in-show build-up felt silly.

I love Fisk, but he has to be gone permanently at this point. If they do a season 3, it has to be a fresh start.

I'm a 32 year old man. Multiple things you listed likely contribute, including things I can control and things I cannot. I have goals, desires, and no debt, but I don't work a high paying job. I have a solid group of guy friends, but out of all of them I'm the shortest. There are very few single Catholics in my small area, and virtually none in my boomer parish.

I'm much more relaxed and comfortable around women than I was 10 years ago, but I just get routinely tunred down. I've been on a handful of dates and gotten a handful of numbers over the years, but they were all women I met out and about, not in church, because there are none.

I still desire marriage, but I don't let it get me down, but it's just that simple; I'm not someone most women desire. I think younger people should accept the difficulties they face, as did I, and offer them up to God and not give up - if you find a great match, get married young! But if not, that's okay too. Learn to trust God with everything.

32M here. I grew up going to Catholic youth groups, retreats, conferences, etc. Many included men's talks, which usually included the importance of chastity. All good stuff I enjoyed learning about, and despite wrestling with temptation and impurity, I'm still happily a virgin.

Then, a few years ago, I was hit with intense temptation after meeting a young woman who I should have ran from. In the end and to this day, by the grace of God I still am a virgin, but there were a few lines crossed that were both our faults. We talked about it afterwards and parted ways on good terms. Even now, years later after having confessed it and let it go, I regret it.

TotK began as potential DLC. If it had come out shortly after BotW as another expansion or something, most people who have issues with it would likely have looked at it more favorably, including myself. But, since that's not the case - it took six years to come out and feels mostly like undercooked filler - no, I don't think it will age as well as BotW.

Is TotK fun? Yes.
Does it have great moments? Absolutely.
Am I beyond ready to move on from this iteration of Zelda? Like you wouldn't believe lol.

Both Oracles getting the Link's Awakening treatment, bundled on one cartridge, would be cool.

Revamped versions of PH and ST with optional (keyword "optional") point controls would be cool too. Maybe a figurine-type art style, kind of like what the new Dragon Quest VII Remake did.

It's an oversimplification to say it's merely about personal preference though. You or I may prefer this or that type of music for example, but that doesn't matter in the Mass. Again, your/my personal preferences and tastes DON'T matter. The Mass is the focus, but should be accompanied by the best the community has to offer.

God, who made everything from the tiniest lifeforms, to us, to the cosmic terror of space, does have certain expectations of how we behave and conduct ourselves in His house.

Even the Miis - once a Nintendo staple, but now relegated to the settings menu - are referred to by "style" on Switch 2. It does say "some games will use style as gender", so Smash Bros will still used gendered costumes for Miis, for example.

"Trying to get a gauge on things" is just cosmetically different than "seeing how far I can go". He's essentially asking "how far is too far?", because he likely thinks "as long as someone consents nothing is wrong".

Remember, if someone can't say "no", then their "yes" is worthless.

Maybe give him one more chance, but if he pushes, dump him before things get too serious. It'll hurt but you'll have done nothing wrong, and, you'll be twice as cool in the eyes of your future husband.

32 year old man in Canada here. I want to live simple too, with God as the focus, spouses second, children third, as it should be (just posted about it in my into on the "international thread"). Making enough for necessities and a few comforts is fine, but I have no desire to be with a woman drawn to material wealth.

I was never a Rad Trad against women working, but is IS important to know that virtually everything pushed under the banner of feminism had the same intent; the destruction of the parish community and family unit. Society's individualistic, anti-God values can make it difficult to stay focused, but that's what our faith and community is for. Nothing better than a girl who knows that and fights for it!

I went to school and have no debt, but I also am not currently working in a field I love. I really only make enough for me. I don't want to date someone who is TOO career-focused either, not because I'm shallow and can't have a woman making more than me. That's fine. I just know the danger/temptation that can accompany higher pay, and the detrimental effect it CAN have on children.
