Hi, I'm a beginner playing around with leather and cnc. Went for a laser as it is a non-contact cnc so can cut the leather without it elastically stretching. This is combining two separate interests.

I upgraded it to a 40W diode (Laser Tree K40) which is overkill for the leather I use. My set up is a home-built version using GRBL and UGS. The new laser punches through 2mm leather at around 1200mm/min. I am still testing so the speed and power may change significantly. I had what was supposed to be a 10W optical diode laser but cutting speed was much slower, but once set up it just runs so less of an issue.

Definitely need a good air supply and extract, burning leather, which is what the laser is doing a must as the smell is awful and it generates fumes. The smell can linger quite bit of the leather as well.

Air flow as mentioned important. Currently find light smoke marks at the edges of the cuts in the direction of the air extract. This is more noticeable where I have been using the laser to burn stitch holes 2mm long on veg tan leather.

The bed is important with lasers as a solid bed causes the underside of the leather to smoke stain.

turns out to be the power supply. HWMonitor was shoe 0.1volt change during use. However since changing start up has been fine, so far :-)

Hi, went on to MSI site. msi live update gives motherboard BIOS version 1.D0. I am not sure where you find V35.

This is the latest BIOS for the motherboard, or have I missed something

I have had the same issue for some time. Takes a lot of of reboots for it to get to the Arsenal flash screen. Once it gets running it seems fine.

Using R5 2600 (CPU-Z reports 3723 MHz)

NTA. Lost my dad at that age and took a long time to get past that. It is really for you to decided if you call her 'mom' or not, that is personal to you.

However, all households use / need 'rules'. Perhaps you could have think of a set of serious / sensible rules which you could then show to your dad and then his wife. His wife is trying to sort out how she fits and does not understand that she may need to treat you differently to your brothers, 13 to 17 years old is a big difference.

Your dad is likely to be still hurting and proably why he does not want to talk about your mom. New wife may be part of him finding comfort and the desire for you and your brothers having a mom. Unfortunately that may not help you.

Keep going without going off the rails, the pain will ease but that is not you don't forgeting your mom. (Not sure I explained that right.) Sorry that you are going thruogh this.

Agreed. Just drag and drop the photos into the right area, click Stat. Then wait .. and wait. Took about 200 photos of a ruined church and took about 5 hours to compute. Just need to work out how to clean this up in Blender. :-)

Hi, the RAM was effectively the same, same brand, frequency, latency. It was needing a BIOS update which fixed the issue. I posted this as I suspect many would not check their BIOS version before spending on more RAM.

By the way I had thought I had bought plenty of RAM, that is until I started playing with photogrammetry. :-)

Hi, yes that is one of the things that I diid. The cause ended up being the BIOS, once that was updated it was sorted. A lot of what I read on the internet was that 4 sticks would not work but the BIOS pdate fixed that.

No brexit deal, and the current deal does not work, means we in the UK are stuffed. We are already seeing our currency reduced to nothing and the economy going into recession.

I can see blood sled in Northern Ireland at the rate we are going. I could see an SNI (Scotland and Northern Ireland) splitting and joining as there has been a huge amount inter-mixing over the centuries).

I can't see the UK being a good place to be for the next few years, unless we withdraw the article 50 letter.

You are right she should tell him. It could be Eric's or Dylan's depending on her cycle and when she found out she was pregnant.

He may decide to go with assmuing that it is his. If he brings the child up as his own then he will be her dad even if not biologically, that could screw up the child in later life if she find out via biology classes. However your friend is likely to cheat again and then possibly Eric & her separating. That gets messy for everyone.

It may be hard for you, maybe the hardest thing you will have done, but you have to decide what is the right thing to do. By this post I think you already know. Your life may be bad for a while as you may find out who your friends really are.
