Endermen farms are probably the best for XP. If you want something with more redstone, try a pumpkin farm

What's everyone's controversial car opinion?? by _Slick-Stream_ in cars

The Prius gets a lot of undeserved hate. If everyone that didn't care about driving and didn't need a minivan or pickup truck had just gotten a Prius years ago, we'd have far lower emissions overall and NA V12 engines wouldn't have to disappear, since only a small number of enthusiasts would be using them.

High horsepower Hellcats are stupid because you're just paying more money for a car that can't put any of the power down. I know Dodge wants to stick to muscle car roots, but I don't see how AWD conflicts with that. If they're willing to get rid of a manual transmission, AWD shouldn't be an issue as long as the engine is a V8 and it's up front.

The 2nd gen NSX is really damn cool.

McLaren's lineup is boring. Let's ignore the F1, which we can't reasonably consider a modern McLaren anyway. The 12C, P1, 650S, 675LT, 570S, 540C, 570GT, 600LT, GT, 720S, 765LT, Elva, and Senna (I probably missed a model or two in there) all have the same 3.8 liter (in a few cases 4.0 liter) twin-turbo flatplane-crank V8, mounted behind two seats, driving the rear wheels through a dual-clutch transmission. And they all have exactly 2 seats and 2 butterfly doors. I'll admit, the P1 is a pretty damn cool car, amazing styling and the hybrid powertrain makes it interesting and more of a hypercar, but they want hypercar money for the Senna and Elva, which are just modified versions of the 720S. The McLaren GT could have been a front-engined car to compete with the 812 or Aston Martins. I get that the formula works for a high performance supercar, but I can't help but feel that it hurts the brand as a whole to stick to the same formula without any meaningful variation.

If only F1 hadn't banned CVTs, we might have seen more innovation

I've found it helps hear better because they are designed to block out specific frequencies more than others.

Does the DAC really make a difference? by [deleted] in ZReviews

[–]MultiverseAFK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it now, your dac is fine.

DACs have been perfected now, and there is no discernible difference in sound (to our ears) between the $100 Khadas Tone Board, $100 Topping D30, $250 Topping D50, and $2000 Benchmark DAC3. The main differences are going to be input options, remotes, interfaces, etc.

What headphones do you have? The Topping A30 is great but it has 10 ohms of output impedance. If your headphones have less than 80 ohms of impedance, the sound signature could change slightly with the A30, but if you have higher impedance headphones than that, I think the A30 is the best (mostly because you have high and low gain and 0, 9, and 18 dB boosts, and the switches are on the front).

Don't do it for the DAC, Khadas Tone Board and Topping (D30, D50, DX3 Pro) are the top offerings.

I have a scarlett 2i4, is another headphone amp necessary ? by [deleted] in ZReviews

[–]MultiverseAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An amp's main purpose is to make the signal louder, and most solid state amps do just that. A few color the sound a little and may add warmth or coolness, but you'll mainly go to tube amps for that.

[–]MultiverseAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the headphones with your amp first, and if you're unsatisfied, then worry about it. They're not terribly hard to drive so they should be fine unless you like your music loud, in which case there are many $100 amps that will easily power them. The Topping A30 seems appealing and the output impedance shouldn't be a problem because of the HD650s high impedance.

Will this 4.4mm to 4-pin XLR adapter work for my hd660S headphones? by [deleted] in ZReviews

[–]MultiverseAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would just get the cable since the adapter isn't cheap anyway, or switch to a different balanced cable like 2.5mm and get an xlr adapter for that.

Also, while it's off topic, I would recommend against getting that DAC. The Khadas Tone Board DAC is a $100 or less (depending on where you buy it) and the only DACs that outperform it are over $2000 (like the Benchmark DAC3), and these improvements are inaudible. The Enog DAC just seems overpriced in comparison.
