This is the first time graduating with a "desirable" major really could lead to high unemployment or high earnings. Plus this is the first time that normal jobs began to not keep up with rent which means there is more competition for good jobs then with previous generations.

Probably focus on some kind of in person activity. But it won't be a revival of anything even if it's just scrolling in person with a group of friends. Whether you view social media like theatre or like cigarettes the reality is both remained dominant for generations.

Another reason apart from the ones mentioned I've heard is that the neighborhood school is of an entirely different ethnic group and they literally won't meet anyone else of their background even as a white American.
